  1. Bought a mint set of 6x13's, then managed to secure a set of 6x13 & 8x13 the following day. So I now have four 6x13's for sale, genuinely excellent condition. https://www.lotus7.club/forum/sale/sale-four-6x13-caterham-anthracite-8-spoke-r500-alloy-wheels PM me if you're interested.
  2. I've measured my head and am happy to confirm I'll take the helmet if Chisel86 doesn't measure up. Thanks
  3. Hi As title. Please PM me details if you have anything for me to consider. Thanks Alex
  4. Going against the trend, is no. 2 available? If so which version is it and how much are you asking? Thanks Alex
  5. Looking for a set in very good condition. Please message me if you have anything I can consider. Thanks Alex
  6. Hopefully I'm the first to confirm..... I will take them. I'm in Hitchin on Saturday. PM me your details/phone number so I can arrange collection/payment. Thanks Alex
  7. I'm researching various products to insulate the radiated heat from the bare aluminium transmission tunnel (caused by heat soak in traffic). The exposed foot well I will line with the CC kit in the engine bay. I have new tunnel carpet, but now I need to decide what to insulate the cockpit side of the transmission tunnel with. 4 products options found so far; thermo-tec-suppressor-heat-sound-mat thermo-tec-thermo-guard-fr thermo-tec-cool-it-insulating-mat teknofibra-self-adhesive-heat-shield-mat Does anyone have any experience, comment, knowledge of which will suppress the heat most efficiently? or have any other product knowledge. Thanks p.s. I don't want to lag the exhaust primaries.
  8. Could someone pm me the guide please. 2004 1.6 k series. Thanks
  9. Thanks for the info, just need to jack the car up to see how much room I have to work with, with the trans in place.
  10. Christian Thanks for pointing that out. Doesn't look like Caterham sell what I need. I was considering a set of these but prefer the idea of lining the inside of the tunnel as it'll be more effective.
  11. Do you think it's possible to fit this kit with the transmission in place still? Maybe not the long top piece but the side and front panels at least. Caterham tunnel insulation kit Thanks
  12. Thanks for the replies. Vernier pulleys, SS Cams (well, Piper 633's) and Kmaps ecu were fitted the other weekend. I agree on, lightened flywheel, I'd also like a 4-2-1 but I was thinking of low cost options that will help whilst I enjoy the current mods. I was hoping for a K series version of the Sigma airbox that is currently available. I saw this TB to Airbox hose on caterhamparts so thought something must exist.
  13. Had a little search, but can't see anything. Are there any air box/cold air feed options available? All that hot air can't be good! Pics not of my car but it's this set up. Cheers
  14. Thanks for the replies. I thought I'd add my experience post mod for any future readers. What can I say, Dave (DVA Power) and his wife are both very welcoming and I can't recommend his workmanship and attention to detail highly enough or the bacon butty. I pretty much froze on the drive there (-3deg) but warmed up after the first of many coffees. I spent the day with Dave whilst he worked on my car; Piper 633 Cams Vernier pulleys, Modified the TB for improved response. Removed the unused engine mount & added a replacement cover. Fitted my Kmaps ECU. To say I am happy with the transformation is an understatement, midrange torque is vastly improved, it feels much more rapid and responsive. It sounds so much better to. I'm grinning from ear to ear...... definitely money well spent.

  16. It started out as an Academy car (2004), from the research I've done I gather it only completed 4 races and did approx 1500 miles in it's first 8 years (garaged with little/no use after racing). From 2012 to 2016 it's appearance changed a little. It again covered approx 1500 miles, it was garaged and never driven in the rain. I bought it in early September as a 40th present to myself. It was the first I'd seen, but was obviously a very well looked after car. First I made sure it had a clean bill of health and would be mechanically sound, so took a trip to the very nice team at www.sevensandclassics.com - full service, Cam Belt, pedals adjusted and for my own comfort Caterham Leather seats replaced the Tillets. I've made some cosmetic changes, 5.75 lights, clear indicators & repeaters and I fitted an Aero filler cap. Other than the above I have it booked in with DVA for hotter cams, verniers and modified TB. I'm replacing the ECU with a Kmaps tuned item, so should be 140bhp from 120bhp which will be more than adequate for now. I'm thoroughly enjoying ownership and the driving experience and who said they weren't practical..... (can't believe I didn't get spotted). More to follow......
  17. Date booked with Dave on the 20th Jan. K01 kit - Piper 633 Cams, vernier pulleys with an extra modification to the existing TB. Decided to pair this with a Kmaps ecu (yet to finalise this with Mark). Anyone else followed this route? I literally can't wait for the new year to arrive.
  18. Thanks for the confirmation. I made a few minor turns and now have an accurate speedo. A bit awkward removing dial from dash to get access each time. Now I just need to get the correct 4 switch setting so my odometer doesn't continue to over-read!!
  19. Hi all I've already searched as best I can but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I have a Caterham 7 (2004) with a Caerbont speedo (EESE-1A32-00B), the previous owner changed the tyres from Avon CR322 (rolling circumference 1.8 with 894 Revs/mile) to Yokohama A539 (rolling circumference 1.702 with 945 Revs/mile). The speedo seems to be approx 15 to 20% out. I've removed the rubber bung on the back and there are 4 swithces (1,3&4 are down, switch 2 is up) with what I believe is a potentiometer. Can anyone help? approximately how many turns clockwise or anti clockwise will I need to make? or do I need to change the switch position? or a combination of both? Any help much appreciated. Thanks
  20. So it's got 1.6 k series which fits your comment. Would be keen to know if it's been tweaked.
  21. hello. New to the forum, I bought as my name suggests a 2004 ex Academy Caterham 7. I absolutely love everything about it. It has an xpower badge on the back. I was wondering if this could mean anything? Currently struggling to find out the standard bhp or if there is a register for xpower'd vehicles. Thanks
  22. Could have been me - Blue with Silver stripe, full roll cage?
  23. Thanks for the rely. It was stuck and very stiff, eventually managed to slide rear wards. Had a very windy, wet yet enjoyable drive home from Chester to London.
  24. first post, hello all. Currently buying a car and to drive away from sellers house I need to be able to slide the drivers seat back. Is it possible or a technique? thanks alex
