Some pics of the polished system to wet your appetite. https://fastroadconversions.files.wordpress.com/2014/11/img_0884.jpg https://fastroadconversions.files.wordpress.com/2014/11/img_0879.jpg https://fastroadconversions.files.wordpress.com/2014/11/img_0881.jpg -
Ladies & Gentlemen I am organising a group buy for a K-Series Powerspeed 4-2-1 complete system. I've wanted one for a couple of years now and as they never really come up for sale I've decided to bite the bullet and get one made. I’ve spoken with Lee & Andy and have the follow confirmed details. We need 4 of us, so 3 more to get a 10% discount. Full 4 2 1 System without CAT = £1500 inc VAT (Discounted price £1350) Full 4 2 1 System with integrated CAT = £1680 inc VAT (Discounted price £1512) Fully polished = £200 +VAT Free delivery or Fitting @ £200 +VAT The non polished finish was described to me a being Scotch-brite "Matte", so you'll see the colouring of the metal where welded. I've not got a picture to show this but they said it had a race finish and does look nice. Payment or a deposit required from all of us before the first system will be shipped or fitted. They have been let down in the past. Please only commit below if you are genuinely interested. Obviously 4 is the minimum - more welcome. Once we have a full list I’ll DM you all so we can agree a deadline to make the payment/deposit. So who’s with me for a full system? 1. (Me) 2004Academy80 - Full 4 2 1 System + CAT + Polish + Fitting. (£1,992) 2. RussellS - Full 4 2 1 System without CAT + Fitting. 3. +1 will confirm end of Sept. 4. Chris whitlow Full 4 2 1 System with integrated CAT = £1680 inc VAT (Discounted price £1512) Highside43 - able to purchase at end of year. Thanks

I found that lining the inside of the tunnel help a little. Fitted this product under new carpet from Caterham (I used the carpet as a template). https://www.advantage-motorsport.co.uk/thermo-tec-thermo-guard-fr-sound-heat-insulation-mat.html https://www.advantage-motorsport.co.uk/thermo-tec-heavy-duty-spray-on-adhesive-glue.html https://caterhamparts.co.uk/carpets/6013-tunnel-carpet-96dd.html There are also air gaps between panels and small holes in the foot well that allow hot air to flow in. I'm going to use a foil tape to close these gaps off. I'm also considering ducting cold air from the front to the footwell.

horn works only when steering wheel is slightly to the right

For 14 years old it's holding up rather well. Any help in identifying the ground wire would be gratefully receive. -

Been a while, but I’ve made some progress. Switched relays and it makes no difference. Fitted new horn ring and that to, makes no difference! So it seems there is a short circuit, where is the ground? locate? FYI, it’s the top relay that’s doing all the clicking. -
Hi Phil I may also be interested. I've got a 2004 car so presume I must need to go down the CAT route. Complete 4-2-1 with Cat, fitted.

Still looking - ideally a Powerspeed system. If you have or see one please let me know. Cheers

In early August I attended my first track day an evening session organised by MSV. I'm hooked and very much looking forward to the next, the car is far more capable than me, but I made good gains in time and ability on track throughout the session. If you haven't yet, you really should!

I'll try the relay as it's the quickest but I do think it's definitely connected to movement of the steering wheel. It did it very briefly a couple of months ago when I pushed on the steering wheel, it then stopped and wouldn't do it again, so didn't think too much of it. Do I need to unscrew the steering wheel or does the horn button come out if prized with plastic levers from the front? Motolita from original build sheet ;-) -

Correct me if I am wrong but if the relay is clicking it sounds like Blue7's analysis would be correct, copper disc shorting. I'll strip it down and investigate. Thanks guys. Alex -

1.6 K-series here's a pic from when I bought it. All fuses are labeled. As soon as I pulled the fuse the horn stopped sounding, Didn't look blown, relay was still clicking. I don't have a wiring diagram, thanks for the offer. -

It was happening "clicking" intermittently, not when pressing the horn. I do have a multimeter but I'm a novice when it comes to electrical issues. If I can see it I can fix it but wires are another level. I was wondering if it was a simple relay issue prior to stripping the steering wheel down. Blue - car is a 2004 academy. Thanks guys - helpful as ever. -

Resurrecting an old thread as it's pretty applicable. Yesterday I turned a right corner and my horn came on and stayed on, quite embarrassing as cars thought I was aiming it at them until I was able to pull over, it only stopped when I pulled the fuse, pressing the horn button (in steering wheel), moving the steering wheel made no difference. Even after the fuse was pulled I could hear clicking (Is this normal relay behaviour or could this be the cause)? Thanks Alex -

Tires have just been removed and binned, so you don't have that cost either. -

Forgot to mention, I bought 4 new Anthracite center caps from Caterham yesterday, I didn't buy the badges as there are a couple of options and personal preference on style, so you can buy separately. -
I have what I regard as a mint set of original untouched alloys for sale. (Out of date tires now removed). I recently bought these not thinking I'd be able to get a set with 8x13, I traveled an extremely long way to get them, but frustratingly, in a good way, the very next day I did, so these are now superfluous to requirements. They are an extremely good set (as you can see in the pictures), so my preference is to keep them as such. PM me if interested. Now £400 ono (with center caps) Thanks Alex
