  1. I saw the head restraint on cc by the way, but cannot see how that works as the pic is rubbish. How does it attach to the roll bar?
  2. Thanks for your responses. Really helpful. Mark, I have a roll bar. Send me a message if you have the right thing. Thanks
  3. For the speed championship I think I need a headrest support from the roll bar to support the back of the Tillett headrest. I have about 7-9cm gap currently. Has anyone else done this and if so, how? Thanks
  4. I have a 2002 road sport. I need some stainless steel wheel nuts. Can I order the metric nuts from CC? Or do I need to get something else for my car? Thanks
  5. Looking for a petty strut that fits on the roll bar upright, not the version currently sold by CC. Thanks.
  6. Sorry Richard...I am not great with names generally, but that is poor even by my standards! Well, at least I will remember for next time.
  7. Fair enough Chris. I was basing my assumption on my car, and will still be tense next year :) just need to work out how to get a petty strut around the passenger seat on my car, and I will be there!
  8. Great day today. Thanks to everyone who volunteered to support us beginners. I thought it was really useful to help me get started next year. Not so thrilled about having to start in Class 5! Can I ask that if you were on the track walk this morning with me (I was on Philip's track walk), you send me a message with your name and the car you were driving, so I know who you are...assuming you are happy to get a mention in Low Flying. Thanks
  9. Had a fantastic day also. Thanks to James, and everyone involved in arranging the day. Met some great people, loved the 620r, and loved driving my own car at this great track. Am signing up for the next day now! Xtreme photography chap will have some good pics. I have mine and they are great. Would share but being told that the file size is too big.
  10. I am based in Wakefield, so if you are nearby and need any help, just let me know. I don't know the answers to everything, but can help out.
  11. Instructions for the day just received on email, and will probably join for the curry the night before, assuming I can park there easily with a trailer, but that might be a challenge. Planning to sleep in the tow car on the Sunday night as I am too scared to leave the car on a trailer overnight on its own!
  12. I also have the breather mod document if you need it.
  13. Nick, I have just changed all mine, and spent a while deciphering it all. Give me a call if you want to chat through, or if the car is still driveable, bring it down to mine and I can probably help.
  14. I am booked in. I will be driving down the night before with the 7 on a trailer, rather than facing the M1 on a Monday morning, and it seems like the best place to camp for the night is the Dadford road campsite, but if anyone has a better idea for secure parking with a trailer, just let me know. Cant wait to get there!
  15. The mirrors come with a replacement for the bottom windscreen bolts, that then allow you to take the mirrors on or off easily. They are handy when you don't have the doors on
  16. Thanks Ian, my old one has that, but don't have a dremmel. Will see if someone can help locally. Antony, it will come out, but it is bloody difficult! Thanks all.
  17. Thanks Ivan, I didn't know that. It is all in securely now. The back section is being prevented from going in due to a breather pipe on top of the tank, which I have to run a hose from to the filler neck. Does anyone have a view if this is required, as new tanks don't have them. Just trying to work out the next best step. Cannot post a pic as my pic exceeds the max file size...
  18. Thanks, the new floor already has that cut away already, so makes life easier. so self tapping screws straight through should do the job, and good shout on treating the wood. The wood I received from Caterham is pretty strong, so should be an improvement vs what I had before.
  19. I have recently removed my old boot floor whilst making some changes to the car, and have bought a new one as the old was no good and not installed correctly. I only had the aluminium for the font section originally, with no wood panel underneath. Now I have the wood panel and new Ali. So my question is, how do I attach the front section back in, with the wood and Ali? Do I use screws through both wood and Ali? Do I use nut and bolts through both? Do I fix wood first, then attach Ali to the wood? Etc etc The rear section seems a bit more straightforward. Any thoughts appreciated!
  20. I had the same concerns for my car on first track day, so if you have an iPhone, download a sound meter app, and use that to give you a guide as to whether you are in the right area. It is not perfect, but worked very well for me, and was pretty close to the reading on the day.
  21. I have used mr sheen and a duster for 15 years, half of that time on the same Arai helmet, and it is as good as new.
