  5. its the R13 tyres for the back that you will struggle to find wider than 5" or 5.5" from OEM cheap steeles. https://www.wheel-size.com/ or http://www.wheel-fitment.com/ says a 71 to 78 Capri has 108 R13x7 or a Ford Mercury if you change the search to 5.5 you will finds loads or https://www.bandedsteelwheels.co.uk/ which might cost more than a set of new
  6. Had my 680 on the car for 6-7 years. Never trickle charged, getting drained to zero a couple of times and 5 months of winter stored below or near zero 'c. It still cranks the VX no issues, I would buy another if this one decides to pack it in. Chris

  8. My kids go out with me in the car sometimes, 10, 8 & 6 (B,B,G). Now all this time I have had 3" belts with Tillets and the Volvo booster, I have always felt the 3" belts are a little inflexible/wide, there use to be 2" Caterham branded 4 points. Will using these make any difference to holding in the kids or is it just the way of things with 4 point belts? cheers
  9. So you hand needs to be placed into a gap to operate a lever which will allow the weight of your body to close said gap. No, I see absolutely no issues with that at all.
  10. Mine is behind, With Tillets the slider handle was very difficult to reach when I trial fitted it with the bracket in-front of the cross member. Chris

  17. As I have a unused set of rear r888's (not R888r) and I have only found R888's in soft compound for the front. Mixing R888's mediums on the back with soft on the front...usage is 95% road with Curborough next week and a couple of sprints later in the year. Any warning or tales of woe? Am I destined to enter a hedge backwards? Whats the wear rate like?
  18. just the tunnel carpet has been enough for me, warm but not hot
  19. what sort of nose weights are you running then? surley it sholdnt be heavy enough to damage concrete. IIRK you should only have about 40-50Kg on the nose when towing, if you struggle to lift it onto the hook, its too heavy. get a tow hook measure thing off ebay so you can check its not too heavy.

From the side on the rocker cover and the side of the engine, loop rearwards and as high as you can before down and into the catch can. the 3 pipe I had as an exit, again looping up high then down and then to atmosphere near the passenger foot well floor. hope that helps
