  1. In the process of planning a circuit of the Baltic later in the year. I'm familiar with the German and Polish coasts and the same for Scandinavia as far east as Finland. Just wondering if any members have experience driving in the Baltic states and through the Kaliningrad-Belarus gap? My only 'short cut' will be the ferry between Estonia and Finland.
  2. Final run for me will be from HWR at Ponteland to home about 70 miles via Alston and Hartside. Flying in from US on the 4th Dec and going direct to Jeff's to collect the car. Hoping the weather will be kind. We are just about to enter Chesapeake bay and the weather and visibility are the best of the trip so far.
  3. After the above preferably with integral pump.
  4. Stridey, Thanks for the links your experience with Newton confirms other folks views!
  5. That's the one. I believe Newton charge a lot for replacements so I was wondering about alternatives. I'll give my local locksmiths a visit.
  6. I was aware of the Newton website but looking for alternatives.
  7. I'm told replacement keys for these caps aren't easily available from third party locksmiths and have to be obtained from Newton. Any club members have experience of replacing these keys? Thanks.
  8. In what order? ! About to depart Euston roll on a G & T once I’ve hopefully got on the right train!
  9. Paul I'm heading north on the Cumbria Pullman tomorrow been an interesting stay especially wrestling with an unfamiliar S3 pedals millimeters apart! I'll head directly to Jeff's on Saturday.
  10. Not defecting just business in London but staying out near Tunbridge Wells. Had my first ride on the tube for many years hell to think folk have to put up with that everyday. A milliseconds delay at a ticket machine and the hot breath of enraged commuters wafts over you! Sprinting down escalators whats all that about? Weather sunny and warm today off to Chartwell and Oxted trimming tomorrow.
  11. Down sarf at the moment but will be on for the HWR and NYM jaunt. There's a couple of area meets I'm hoping to get to while I'm down here.
  12. Blue I've tried all he usual methods incuding position 93 (Advanced) Kama Sutra but the bloody thing wont unlock. I'll get it trailered down to the local garage after Motormania and they can either fettle or remove it. Paul enough of this CSR rose tinted fantasy they are just as big a PIA as all the other Caterham versions! Look what CSR ownership has done to Blue his wife has had to buy an Aston Martin to drive him to the whisky shop at Tomintoul! Luckily in my situation at least one is semi roadworthy at any one time! Suggest you retire to a darkened room with Sarah and a Kia/Dacia brochure.
  13. Ok thanks immobiliser acting up on day before Scottish jaunt. Luckily I have a spare car.
  14. Could anybody tell me if the upper box with blue edged plugs is the immobiliser? Thanks
  15. Yellow approaching Keswick westbound around 19:00.
  16. Thank all I'm now back 'oop north' and the AA chaps repair seems ok. Thanks for the links I'll get a couple of spares as theirs another of the same type on another connection.
  17. Ian please do I'll be interested to see it. Hopefully I'll back home tomorrow.
  18. Yes John its a straight connector about 100mm long. Its between two hoses coming from block and proceeding to the heater on left rear of engine.
  19. Thanks, both the input and output pipes are the same diameter which makes me wonder why its there at all? Luckily the AA guy had a replacement and I'll carry one in future. Cars a CSR 260.
  20. I've been broken down in Guildford today with a split plastic connector between silicone water hoses. Its a straight connector with push on fittings secured with hose clips. To avoid this problem in future just wondering if this type of connector is available in brass or similar? Hose internal diameter looks to be about 15mm. thanks.
  21. Mossy fasteners in motor bike shops tend to be over priced by a huge margin. A quick search on the net for local industrial suppliers will save you money.
  22. Haha spotted again! Neil I'm afraid the only thing that gets me south of Preston these days is Wightblat and greed! In a fit of masochism I'm checking properties we hold in London and decided to visit PGM's open day to ease the pain. Couldn't turn up to that in a tintop so I've given the yellow CSR a trip down south to show it what life in permanent second gear is really like!
  23. I was lucky with the weather never had the hood on in a fortnight. Ok on Moose I have experience of them in Colorado much bigger than expected but not on the road! From previous trips I notice every locals car north of the arctic circle have enormous spotlights for night driving as not only moose but reindeer wander about on the roads.
