    2019 T shirts

Chris presented me with several bags of comp sec stuff at the weekend and included were 3 2019 championship T shirts. 1 medium, 1 large and 1 extra small (ladies). As they are now probably worthless, if anyone wants 1 or more of these I can bring them to Wiscombe or Blyton. First to post here.....
  3. Results are here Thanks to Alan, Dan and Emma for keeping us updated on Sunday.
  4. Sorry Anthony see here... https://www.lotus7.club/forum/chitchat/club-sprint-curborough-sunday-30th-august-no-spectators
  5. Just found this in the general safety regulations which confirms that your extinguisher must work if fitted. 3.3. During events: 3.3.1. All plumbed-in extinguisher systems must be in an ‘ARMED’ condition (i.e. be capable of being operated without the removal of any safety device) at all times whilst competing or practising in races or speed events (including during post- event scrutineering), and at all times that crash helmets are worn on rallies (i.e. on Stages etc.). 3.3.2. Any plumbed-in extinguisher system found to be incapable of being operated will be the subject of a report to the Clerk of the Course/Stewards for possible penalty as an offence against Safety Regulations.
  6. Gary is right, Extinguishers are only recommended: "10.2.14. Fire Extinguishers – K.3.1.2(a) recommended for discharge into cockpit and engine compartment." But if fitted it should be working and in date.
  7. Sorry Charlie, the rule on numbers being covered for road use was removed in 2018, so now no need for the taped cross to cover them.
  8. Hi Charlie Stickers you will need are: If you have a battery isolation switch an arrow indicating the off direction An arrow on the dash above the ignition switch indicating the off direction Arrows front and rear pointing to the towing hooks. The battery earth cable also needs yellow tape wrapping on it. Numbers need to be visible from the sides of the car, either on the bonnet or on the side panel. When driving on the road put black tape on the numbers in the shape of a cross. For Curborough you don't need a number on the nose. Please don't hesitate to contact me or post on the speed forum if there is anything else you are not sure of. Graham
  9. We have a decent entry of 53 competitors but there is still time to get your entry in if you fancy an outing this year. Entry form on Love-Admin.
  10. Just heard from LDMC that the Anglesey sprints on 3rd and 4th October have been cancelled..... "At the July Committee Meeting, Longton & District Motor Club formally voted to cancel the events originally scheduled for the 31st August at the Oliver’s Mount Hillclimb venue, and their sprint meeting on 6th September at Three Sisters. It was agreed that a final decision regarding Anglesey would be taken at the club’s Committee Meeting at the beginning of August. Last week the club was approached by the circuit requesting an urgent decision regarding our events in October. It has clients able to organise non-Motorsport UK events that the Welsh Government refers to as “gatherings with a maximum of 30 people present”. Longton’s committee members were contacted for comment, with a decisive result in favour of cancelling its October events, due mainly to the uncertainty and risks associated with the Covid-19 situation and bearing in mind our close relationship with the circuit. We will contact all competitors directly with details on the options available for entry fees paid towards both the September Three Sisters sprint and the Anglesey weekend sprints." Enjoy the 5 events we have left this year.
  11. We have been notified that the entry is full with 10 reserves.....
  12. If any body fancies a trip to Wales there are places available at Pembrey on 16th August Details welsh_weekend_poster.pdf We can enter as part of AWMMC.
  13. Hi Chris As these classes are being added after the publication of the supplementary regulations it has to be agreed by all those who have entered already. I can't see why anybody would object and I expect these classes to be added on about 17th July. I will post here when I hear that the classes have been added.
  14. Entries now open..... https://www.nottinghamsportscarclub.co.uk/event.php?id=60
  15. Regs and entry form now available here This event is likely to be popular so get your entries in quickly....
  16. They are adding Road car specialist production classes for us. If in classes 1 to 4 you would enter R13 or R14 at this event. They also need a few more entries to make it viable. i am sure a few more of us could do with blowing off the lockdown cobwebs.....
  17. Andy, I am going to contact them, it's not obvious which class we should enter. I will let you know. Graham
  18. Entries now available here: https://scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/rssoc-curborough-sprint-2020
  19. These will be going ahead as planned. Spaces may be limited as the event has been opened up to the HSA. So if you want to compete get your entry as soon as the entry page goes live. This should be in the next few days. More information here as we get it.
  20. Good news.....It has been confirmed that we will be allowed to camp at Curborough over the weekend of 29th/30th August. 50 entries so far, perhaps this will encourage a few more.
  21. That helmet standard is fine for sprinting and all national Motorsport. I am sure it will be good for track days also.
  22. We have just been notified that the MGCC event at Wiscombe will be going ahead and I have reconfirmed that we want to support this. Entry forms and SR's will be available soon. Put this in your diary.
  23. Yes I have done the same. Hopefully get a few 7's there.
