    Epynt Cancelled

I received news yesterday that Brecon MC have decided to cancel their hill climbs this year, what would have been round 4 in our championship. This is their statement... Brecon Motor Club regrets to announce the cancellation of the 2021 Dennis Motors Epynt Hillclimbs which were due to take place on the 19th & 20th of June. Unfortunately Welsh Government restrictions show little sign of being eased and the lack of any clarity or guidance does not give us any confidence to commit funds which now need to be spent. It has been a difficult decision to make and we will now focus on hopefully organising our other events subject to the restrictions we in Wales are bound by. We look forward to bringing the Epynt Hillclimbs back in 2022. Very disappointing. The Comp Sec team will look at if their are any possibilities for a replacement championship round.
  9. Great to see everybody enjoying themselves. And thanks to Ian, Alan and Stewart for helping out with the marshaling, I hope you enjoyed your day in the sunshine.
  10. After a very positive response to the survey to see how many of you would come to the awards ceremony I pleased to confirm that the event has now been confirmed with Silverstone and the club has paid a sizeable deposit. Booking is available in LoveAdmin at £41 pp and you can enter your guest(s) on the same booking. It would be helpful if you can book this soon. If there are restrictions in place that prevent this happening we will be able to postpone to a later date. The awards lunch will take place on 7th November in the Silverstone Wing. As well as celebrating our winners it will be a great occasion to catch up with your fellow competitors and recall the highlights of your season.
  11. I would be happy for you to make a donation to the club charity. Graham
  12. Andy, I replaced my belts recently and still have the old Luke crutch strap. Yours if you want it. It is about 8 years old and in still good, expiry 2018. I can bring it to Curborough.

  14. There is one in the introduction to sprinting notes ...... https://www.lotus7.club/sites/default/files/images/Sprinting%20Introduction%20Manual.pdf
  15. Just a week to go before entries close, still 5 spaces. If you want to compete get your entry in now, COVID rules do not allow us to take late entries.
  16. Andrew, I have couple of white 7's which I can bring for you.
  17. Hi Colin. No spectators I am afraid, gates are locked at 9 am. We could find you a job if you wanted to spend the day at Curborough

    Epynt entries

From the Brecon MC website..... COVID 19 and Brecon Motor Club events in 2021. April 12th 2021 and BMC are still planning on running events this year but at present we have no way of knowing if Welsh Government are going to let us. We hope to know something in the coming few weeks and will make announcements accordingly. Time is getting shorter as many things need to be put in place to run all events so we have our fingers crossed. *Hillclimb regulations will be released in early May if we are in a position to proceed.
  19. Our numbers should be your allocated championship number. The organisers have a list. Andrew, you are not in our championship so your number will be allocated by the organisers.
  20. Post #3 from Shaun is quoting the 2021 regs. 9.2.6 is definitely in there in red so a change this year. https://www.motorsportuk.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/2021-03-08-motorsport-uk-yearbook-2021-p349-359-specific-regulations-sprints-hill-climbs-and-drag-racing-s.pdf Have you sold your trailer Roger?
  21. The requirement was removed a few years ago but has been put back in this year.
  22. Thanks Alan for getting the scores out so quickly. What a fantastic day it was at Goodwood, the long wait was certainly worth it. About the yellow trowel......slightly embarrassing that 2 of the most experienced ( or oldest!) drivers should be competing for it. I am sure that if we had completed our runs we would have been vying for the class win . I am not sure that the comp scorer's duties extend to awarding the yellow trowel. Very impressive driving from Harry Wykes on his first event in class 1.
  23. Everybody should have received their payment request now.
