  1. Hi David, Good to hear from you. Our LED panels have been designed to work perfectly on any type of lens with no difference in brightness. The 72 OSRAM LED's on each panel are colored red and amber so they can be used with the clear and standard lenses or any combination of both. Another point is the actual LED panel itself is white making it virtually invisible through the clear lens when the lights are not in use. There is no comparison between LED bulbs and our LED Panel when it comes to brightness. I tried every LED bulb on the market trying to improve my rear lights and they only made a minimal difference. Our LED panel upgrades Caterham's rear lights to 21st Century performance whilst retaining the original look. If you have any other questions then let me know. Doug
  2. There are many flasher relays on the market and they are not all equal. The best for Caterhams to my knowledge is this one. Link Doug

    Hard shoulder M25

Someone sent me this near miss on the M25 the other day. The oncoming lorry clearly crosses the solid white line and this would have demolished my Caterham. Doug

    Hard shoulder M25

Wise advice indeed and I whole heartedly agree with you. What the pictures do not show you is the huge concrete block that formed the foundation of an overhead gantry. I only stepped out from behind this to take the pictures and to warn on coming traffic. Many thanks for all the comments on my 'incident' there has been some really useful advice that I'm sure many of us have taken on board. Keeping the Hi-Viz jacket in the car rather than in the boot is a must. Doug

    Hard shoulder M25

The picture looks identical to how my tyre looked after the event, except mine was a CR500 that had covered about 6,500 miles. I am still putting it down to a rapid puncture picked up on the motorway. Check out this months Low Flying. Doug
  9. Oh that's easy, just leave your hazard lights on for 5 hours. Buds
  10. I have the same charger and have used it on my brand new car for the past 18 months. I've left it on constantly as per the instructions. All has been well until I recently used the car for a whole day and really put some strain on the battery. The battery died and would not hold a charge even after 24 hours of charging. I have now replaced the battery and will now only charge it periodically. Buds

    Hard shoulder M25

I'm pretty sure the cars bodywork was OK, however the wheel is probably has damaged after I was dragged 500yds by the highways agency to a safe area. I was on my way to Caterham so I just left the car with them and I'm awaiting the verdict. GJT, it sounds like exactly the same experience, I heard a strange noise and a wobble then the tyre tread split from the side walls within seconds. Considering I was traveling at about 60mph the cars handling was very good and I didn't feel out of control at any time. The worst thing was having to stop where there was only half a hard should and then trying to exit the car with trucks bearing down on me. I then spent a good 30min waving at the 'half a sleep' truck drivers to stop them hitting the car. I lost count of how many near misses there were. Scary stuff. Doug

    Hard shoulder M25

Cheers Martin, My tyre decided to rip off the rear wheel! It happened where there was no hard shoulder so they closed the M25 for little old me for recovery. It took four and a half hours to finally get picked up! A very kind man called Brian (ex R500 owner) stopped and offered his assistance. He explained he had just flown over Russia in a paramotor and was on his way home. He even offered me a cup of tea! Apologies to anyone caught in the closer of the M25 that day. Doug
  13. Dean, I have a spare relay in my garage if you need to try one. Doug

    Electrical question

Many thanks John, I now have working brake lights again. Strange that the switch contacts looked like new when I took it apart but I cleaned and reassembled anyway and it all worked instantly. This was officially my first Caterham repair so I appreciate your help. Doug

    Electrical question

Cheers John, I'm not sure who caught from who. Perhaps they are coming out in sympathy for each other! I'll try to clean it this weekend (weather permitting) and I've also ordered a new one just in case. I would still be interested in a more reliable type from CBS if anyone has any recommendations. Thanks again Doug

    Electrical question

John, our cars seem to mimic each other perfectly. I drove home last night with no brake lights! Can someone point me in the right direction for the correct replacement switch from CBS please? Doug

    Tracker

I recently had the same request for my Audi. I looked around and thought how expensive it was until I found this. Tracker Fit I think the prices have changed a little as I paid £185 and that includes them fitting it at your house and then £399 for 24/7 monitoring for life. On the web it says monitoring 'while you own the vehicle' but when I spoke to them they changed it so I could move the tracker from vehicle to vehicle for life. Hope this helps Buds
  18. SVC have LED rear lights and mounting blocks that fit over the OE mounting holes. 7 Wonders, do you know which svc led lights are a direct replacement? I seem to remember speaking to them before and they didn't have anything suitable. Cheers Buds
  19. Just seen a new 7 on a trailer travelling south on the A1M near Doncaster. Anyone here? I was the guy beeping you in the white Q7. Buds

    Squealing Brakes

The support arms for the cycle wings block access to the pins. Stupid design IMHO and as JK points out its not worth messing with whilst the car is under warranty. Buds

    Squealing Brakes

My 360R was exactly the same when I collected it from CC south. I drove the car for 1500 miles to bed the brakes in before I went back and asked CC to remove and clean the brakes and file the 45 degree angle at the front of the pads. The result? silent brakes for about 200 miles before it returned exactly the same. The annoying thing about the 360R (and your 270S is probably the same) is that you cannot remove the brake pads without removing the cycle wings and I refuse to start taking a brand new car apart already. I've learned to live with it and after 4500 miles it is a lot better. I use an air spray on the brakes and this helps a lot. The great thing about a 7 is you don't need the brakes that much! The first service is due at 6k so I'll revisit the problem then. If anyone has a cure that does not involve disassembly then I'd be interested. Buds
  24. Hi Jonathan, Can I please have 2 x tubes and 1 black tool bag. Cheers Buds
