  2. beautifully made content, and that work on Blender must have taken ages. Simon
  3. Thanks for coordinating all that - we’ll all be a bit warmer/drier hopefully!
  4. I have successfully booked a garage too simon
  5. Sorry to hear that Roger. I have enjoyed chatting with you in the paddock when our paths have crossed. You are really fortunate to have kept going with it to such an age 😁.
  6. Thanks for doing this useful guide... I have converted it to a technical guide and added it here... We are working to update the technical guides section. It needs an update and refresh. More contributions are very welcome Simon
  7. Hello Philip, Thanks for using the new news/blog function. We hope it should provide a useful alternative way for everyone to be kept updated. (for anyone to follow the the Warwickshire South News click the 'follow' link at the top or here) Simon
  8. As an aside… it is not just about cost for Love Admin. At some stage the current version will be expire, so we need to think ahead!
  9. Hello Steve, thanks for trying this out. I get a notification when you post a new news (blog) item, but not when someone comments here (so I missed all of the above conversation until you alerted me to it). Simon
  10. One space for me too please. Simon H
  11. Yes, to follow this news feed (blog). Click here Best, Simon 👍
  12. Yes, that new 'database' version was taken from the old version, but with ex members removed. The technical guides section is due a revamp, so the old list is something that could be removed 👍 Simon
  13. I should add, it is in the 'home' section of the menu.
  14. By the way, there is a new and updated version of the loan directory https://www.caterhamlotus7.club/home_folder/home_loans/ Any member can offer equipment (and remove the offer if no longer available) Simon
  15. The Championship promises a series of fantastic events, kicking off with the first sprint set against the scenic backdrop of Anglesey on April 6th. This first event marks the beginning of a season filled with terrific venues and driving action. Participants are encouraged to register before March 16th to ensure they are allocated their correct seeding (championship number). While the club commits to making every effort to accommodate late registrations, it cannot guarantee the correct seeding for those who sign up after the deadline. For those seeking more information about the Championship, including event details, rules, and regulations, the Championship section of the Club's website offers a wealth of resources. Additionally, Competition Secretary, Andy Skinner @andy3.skinner, is available to answer any queries and provide further insights into what promises to be an enjoyable season. Whether you're a novice or an experienced competitor, this championship offers a great opportunity to improve your skills and enjoy what the Seven can do. For registration @£36 visit Love Admin.
  16. Very good - I appreciate that some of that Blender work is tricky!
  17. Thanks for the interesting update on progress in the Zoom meeting yesterday, John. A 'rabbit hole' issue of national HVDC transmission cropped up (after you showed us the DC to DC converter). I looked this on the web - I'd not come across it before. AC national transmission does indeed have some disadvantages… Skin effect (not so with DC) Capacitive and Inductive losses over long distances. Requires synchronization across connections. The first two were mentioned. I learnt something new…
  18. There is a threaded stud that comes us from the chassis rail. You just bolt the new retaining channel to this (using washers to get the right height). You'll find an existing retaining channel in there which can be taken out (or I just inverted it and put the new one on top). Simon
  19. Yes - the nuts are welded to the retaining channels. The knee trim can stay in place, so it saves a lot of hassle. Worth getting. when fitting them, you insert washers underneath to get them to the right height so that the holes align. One thing to check - make sure there is enough space for the channels to fit. My first seven was no problem. On my 2018 academy Seven the left hand side has something in the way. I bought the car 2nd hand - so it might be my car is different than others. Simon
