What power supply have you available? 240v or 415v........?

Just bought a Bridgeport copy BRAND NEW with digital read out etc for £5k delivered. Now 6 months old and not missed a beat!

May have a tired Bridgeport for sale if interested for around £750?

*confused*

Ex school ones are nice *eek*!!??!! Careful Boss!

Servicing is not always great and they get a hammering from kids - beds get milled, tolerances go and they mill MDF and woods on them too (for mould making) which can screw up threads and things. Not that I ever did that of course.... *wink* 😬 *cool*

Certainly a Bridgeport is a good bit of kit *thumbup*, but quite large and heavy! Have a look to purchase from an ex plastics manufacturing company where the machines have a 'softer' life in terms of spindle pressures and rates of feed etc.

Do you need horizontal or vertical capability? A dividing head? Chuck size? A digital read out (x,y,z planes) or not? Make a list then go. Good luck!
