Mark Durrant
I have just entered Croft in the AA Routefinder to discover that it is 5hrs and 272 miles from home, so is anyone travelling any further than me for next Sunday 🤔 Mark D Su77on Se7ens
Jude
270 miles and 4hrs 37 mins for me according to AA Routefinder but without a trailer and having done this jaunt regularly in the past I hope to take take less time. Jason Plato
I raise you : 273 miles , 4hr 41 min 😬 honestly .......I reckon another hour and a ferry trip and we could be at the Ring 😬 Edited by - Dave Jackson on 31 Jul 2005 21:35:
DaveMorris
Nothing like as far as you Guys - just from North Wales. Just trying to pick up the courage to remind SWMBO about Croft as last weekend was Academy 2 at Upper Heyford, this weekend was Blue Light in Barnsley, and I 'm supposedly away with work over weekends of 13th and 20th Aug . Reading this post has just reminded me about Croft Eek. It is Saturday isn't it ?

Alan Bowler
270.1 Fingers and toes crossed for a dry weekend. [i was planning on taking the A1(M) from the M25 upwards. Any major reasons for deviating?] AB
Jason Plato
looks like croft is 270 miles from everywhere and anywhere 😬

Mark Durrant
Alan B I use the routefinder, bottom right here and this normally gives the best route Mark D Su77on Se7ens
Alan Bowler
Thanks Mark. It prefers the M1 over the A1(M), which is the obvious choice looking at the map. I'm just wondering whether the A1(M) might be almost as fast, but slightly less oppressive in a 7. I haven't driven up north (apart from manchester/liverpool) for years. [Will drive round my village a couple of times first, to get the miles up, in case there is a prize for the longest trip.] AB
Jude
I know that the shortest trip is 13.5 miles and the longest 286.4 miles Geoff
DaveMorris
Alan, M1 has (AFAIK) no fixed speed cameras. A1 is covered in them so I'm told. Dave.

robmar
Mark - judging byt he speed that you overtook me on the m40 on saturday evening it shouldn't take you much over 3 hours 😬 rob
Alan Bowler
M1 it is then. I'll see if the map has dried out from the Baywatch soaking yet. ---It will not rain--- ---It will not rain--- ---It might possibly rain a bit--- ---It will not rain--- ---It will not rain--- ---It will not rain--- AB
Mark Durrant
Rob Unfortunately I have half of the M25 to negotiate so it will take at least 5 hours although hopefully the journey home will be a little quicker Mark D Su77on Se7ens
Allen Payne
Mark - Do you think the M1 on a Sunday night is going to be flowing quickly?

MikeW
Seems as if some of you guys have got a fair way to drive home. If it helps to leave early (leaving a few of us with an open pit lane arrangement) I promise we won't feel offended 😬 Hope that helps MikeW Mega Grad Race No
