david nelson
Are we allowed to have tinted visors or not. I can not see it in the blue book. Just found this : visor must be clear or neutral density filters. What is neutral density? is it clear? Thank David Edited by - david nelson on 9 May 2005 09:31:
robmar
Have run with a smoked visor this year without any scrutineering problems rob
Adrian Williams
I'm not sure David, I think neutral density means the same degree of 'tint' across the entire area. Either way I used a tinted visor at Longcross and Llandow without any problem. Adrian
robmar
which means i think that you can't have one of those multi-coloured biker type visors, looks like oil on water int he sun shine sort of thing I believe it is so that in case of an incident the marshals can see that you are conscious or not without having to touch your head/move your visor/helmet ICBWIOA rob

NoLimits
I use one of those "oily" ones. Always seems ok - Iridium coating like the Oakley sun glasses. Simon MY 51VEN Give it some Welly
Jason Plato
I guess it has to be road legal ?

mav
Does not have to be road legal, as the SFI / Snell helmets are not legal for road use in the UK
bl0498
Just don't turn up with Oakley sunglasses and expect those to be OK as a visor replacement.... This happened at Curborough a year or so ago! Brian
