Peter Lydford
My father wants to sell his Range Rover, it's 1998 'R' reg, dark grey with full grey leather, climate control etc: BMW 2.5 diesel with manual box, 92k miles, FSH, new clutch, very nice to drive and tow's a treat, it's mint. He wants £12k for it, sounds cheap to me. Let me know if your interested before I stick it on ebay next weekend. Thanks Peter
EFA
Peter, 2 years ago I couldn't get over £13k for a 97 4.6HSE with 46,000 miles on ebay. Its not the place to sell a car like this. I sold it for £16k via a piece of paper in the back window!
Mark Piper
That's retail (i.e. dealer forecourt) money for the car. I reckon they're well under book too - given the presence of the new model, and I bet that the trade would want to offer him under £10k for the car. It's leggy miles as well and a manual - not everyone wants that spec. I second Arnie's response - ebay is a waste of time, but by all means try it out. You could always park it up at the next Gymkhana in your local area with an advert in the window
Peter Lydford
Thanks for the input, he's only thinking of selling beacuse he does not use it !
Mike C.
Mark, I think the DSE is much more desirable with manual. The auto is so slow it has a calendar instead of a speedo. Mad Manx
Mark Piper
It may well be to you Mike, but what about to the buying public? (I don't know the answer, by the way!)

R500MATT
An auto DSE is a far better seller than a manual............... Matt Never Fast Enough
