O/T Tyre black??

What is the stuff that car dealers use to keep tyre walls black? I've seen some of them painting stuff on from a bucket - sort of like a soap, but everything I've tried is not really up to the job.

BTW, this is for the tin-top not the Se7en 😬

Autoglym make a product called 'Instant Tyre Dressing'. Comes in a spray, so no effort required, makes the tyre wall look nice, but doesn't last that long. I spray it on each time I wash the car (tintop that is)...

That sounds like the stuff Felix. I've tried the "wet look" (should that be "tart's look") dressings and apart from not lasting long I think they're somewhat OTT anyway. Years ago I used to dress the tyres a couple of times a year with tyre wall paint but it's a lot of phaff for what must be easier nowadays.

Off to Halfords then *thumbup*

I guess that would be classed as waxing the tyres then Steve 😬

I've picked up some of the Turtle Wax stuff, so I'll give it a go as soon as the cars dry again - rains up norf sometimes *thumbdown* I'm just trying to smarten things up a little, and most of the products I've looked at are more suited to some Max Poncer photo shoot.
