Looking on changing oil and filter on 2010 r400 d according to old service records been running on miller's 5/40 nanodrive what are people's thoughts use it again or something else thanks.

I use Comma 5/50 that can be obtained for around £35 for 5L on e-bay. I have a 2008 R440D.

Mine has run on Millers 5/50 from new. a 175 upped to 210 which i think is the same spec as the R400

I too use Comma Motorsport 5W/50 (also on a 2008 R400D).

Castrol 0w40 or 5w50 in my 2012 R400D.

Thanks for information mine is a dry sumped car when refilling how much oil do you put in catch tank and rocker box .

#6 You don't put any in the catch tank or cam cover. It all goes in the triangular main tank.

Sorry I ment the triangular tank none in the rockercover then .

No, everything goes in the tank. I normally put in the same amount as I get out by draining the filter and finger filter and extracting from the tank and checking after a few miles.

Once changed & run for a few miles the subsequent oil level in the tank should be checked hot. The level should be, quoting the Caterham instruction 'just below the first baffle'.

Make of that 'just below' as you will. 1 inch, 2 inches? I adjust the level to about half an inch below. Torch with good narrow beam required.

Of course any excess will make its way to the catch tank.
