Bob L
Happy new year all. I have a Lake and Elliot A81 that's approx 40 years old, given great regular service but now needs new seals which don't seem to be stocked anywhere. Unless someone can suggest a stockiest I haven't yet tried? So a replacement looks on the cards - What have you recently purchased and would recommend? Dan R
I have one of these. Excellent, but relatively large and heavy, so maneuvering may be tricky if space is tight.https://www.sgs-engineering.com/tj2-5lp-low-profile-garage-trolley-jack
GulfSeven
I recently purchased a Sealey 2.5 tonne low profile jack. It fits easily under the Caterham and goes high enough to lift our Mercedes GLC as well. It's heavy, but if its never going to leave the garage it's a great bit of kit. Halfords sell it if you want the club discount. I also bought some Powerflex adapters - one for each of our cars (Caterham, Mercedes GLC and Fiesta ST). ScottR400D
I've had one of these for a few years. Works well with 7, well made, low and light. SGS SGS 1.5 TONNE ALUMINIUM TROLLEY JACKProduct Code: TJA1.5R£107.99£89.99 ex VATI also have a Halfords 2t about 10yo for other cars. It's fine but their current range don't look so well made. SGS have a decent range of jacks. I've had other stuff from them, toolboxes, stands, hoist, all been good.
Outcast2
I concur about the SGS jacks, I got this one for the landy but because its so low it works a treat for the Seven, and being wide its a lot more stable when up high.https://www.sgs-engineering.com/tj2-5lp-low-profile-garage-trolley-jack?gclid=CjwKCAiA2L-dBhACEiwAu8Q9YJipVsZ3hvXy1zx6JsU7BlXmkW6oU4Ln_tPRUtUIdk0ivdrCYyx4ERoCTZAQAvD_BwE

rkeywood
Have you tried these guys? A neighbour who rebuilds old hydraulic plant suggested them. They have several depots so may be one fairly closeBarnwellI have a Sealey RJA 1800 low entry aluminium 'motorsport' jack which is a nice bit of kit although more expensive than others mentioned. Its hardly used and gathering dust so may sell on if interested hope this helps robert
smartizan
In the middle of building my 170 and trying to decide which jack to get. I have the build on wheeled axle stands at 500mm high. This jack looks like it would do the job (in terms of lift) and its a good price but I am not sure if it is too high to go under the car. https://www.sgs-engineering.com/tj25-4x4-trolley-jack.The low profile jack mentioned above (https://www.sgs-engineering.com/tj2-5lp-low-profile-garage-trolley-jack) doesn't go quite as high (515mm vs 530mm) and is significantly more expensive. ( £156 vs £70). Anyone know what the clearance under a 170 is?Nick
