ChrisC
Officially the first (1000 mile) service doesn't include an oil change, only a spanner check. That said I did one, and the diff oil.
Area Representative Geoff Brown Posted May 3, 2022 Area Representative Share Posted May 3, 2022 Just assisted a local member with his 360 first oil change. My was the filter tight, in fact overtightened to the extreme. The filter seal had detached from the can & remained on the fitting.Tool used to remove was my Sealey metal 'strap wrench' of some vintage but it works really well on stubborn filters.Chain wrenches are OK but can crush the filter while turning. The screwdriver option to me is a no, no as in the case of a very tight filter all it will do is rip the can in half.Obviously the 'build experts' at CC are exercising their supreme talent on the oil filter fitment. All the filter requires is tightening till it firms up against the housing then one third to half a turn depending on your personal 'Gorilla grip'. Always messy and with a short filter a chance of hitting the spigot.
OldAndrewE
Also if the screwdriver method fails it leaves you with a non-running engine

aerobod - near CYYC
Once you've used a correct cap filter wrench that can be used with a torque wrench, everything else seems quite bodgy. I've accumulated about half a dozen in my toolbox over the years, so generally have one that will fit most common spin-on filters.
