john g
I've removed the 4 Bilsteins from my car, (x/flow, live axle) got the front springs off without a spring compressor but the rear springs need a compressor. I've twice ordered a set only to return them because they won't fit in between the spring coils/bindings. Therefore, can anyone recommend a set and where to purchase them from please. Area Representative paul richards Posted January 26, 2022 Area Representative Share Posted January 26, 2022 P.S. I think people have used spring compressors like these but they are not cheap. Probably ok for front springs but nor sure if they are long enough for rears.
revilla
I've used polyester ratchet straps before. With a couple of straps around opposite sides of the spring you can usually compress them enough to get them on or off.
StevehS3
Same as Andrew above. I used 1" ratchet straps which worked for the fronts and rears.
