fia roll bar underside bolt

ok so hopefully my roll bar will arrived soon.removed the old one and noticed that the hole for the fia underside bolt is very close to the shocker bush top.What type of bolt is used from underneath,counter sunk? any pics

I think it is a hex head that has been machined down to reduce head thickness

You'll need 2 of these. I can't remember the head size, I'm sure someone will be along to advise, but It's worth buying a socket and grinding off the chamfer as the heads on these bolts are very easy to round off.

It's possible the roll bar won't fully align with the holes on one side; don't try and force it into line using the bolts, the bar is very stiff and it will damage the threads. File out the holes until bolts fit; on the roll bar for the small bolt and the chassis for the large one.....if my memory serves me well.

You need a cut down 14mm socket
