njhendo
Morning All,After my success in sourcing a LHS aeroscreen, I wondered if anyone has some mirror clamps for a roll cage (left and right hand sides) lying around in their garage that they no longer need? Thanks,Neil
garybee
What sort of mirrors are you using? If SPA I designed and 3D printed these. They have a captive nyloc pressed in the back that matches the SPA base.
njhendo
Those look very smart. Are they positioned using cable ties? If so, are they deemed sufficiently secure for racing?
garybee
Yes, held on using cable ties. You'd have to ask a scrutineer about compliance (or give the blue book a good reading). I know they have been used in race events but that's like saying that something is MOT compliant just because your car didn't fail. They're plenty strong enough either way. pgm
PGM have also produced various 3D printed mirror mounts. Never been an issue with them being securely cable tied when scrutineered at race meetings.
