andydavy
Need to adjust my front wheel alignment BUT. cant find a "flat" on the steering rod. Does this mean i have to undo the ball joint and rotate that or can i use very tight mole grips on the steering rod?
elie boone
Use mole grips but with a piece of rubber to protect the steering arm.
Tazio
The flats are usually hiding under the rack gaiters ..
SM25T
Yes ... cut the cable tie and slide the rack gaiter towards the rack. The two flats are very small and difficult to see. Once the lock nut at the TRE is cracked, you should be able to turn the tie rod by hand.
