Andrew Willcox
Just bought some clear rear light lenses for Caterham but struggling to find bulbs...Amber indicator bulbs from Halford have location pins at funny angles (not 180deg), same with Red stop and tail.i see they have indicator bulbs on Caterham Parts - but not brake lights.can anyone point me in the right direction here? Andrew Willcox
I was going to stick with standard bulbs... assume LEDs will be a bit costly

Member Jonathan Kay Posted July 1, 2018 Member Share Posted July 1, 2018 Edited: Crossed with #4. SNAP!If you want to check prices of LED lamps (as opposed to new units) Members seem pleased with both the products and service from Classic Car LEDs. NB a new indicator relay might be needed.JonathanPS: Has anyone ever calculated the payback time on the petrol saved? :-)
K7 VCT
Red incandescent bulbs are useless with clear lenses. No one can see them unless its dark, even then they are pink at best. Ypu won't go wrong with LEDS.

Brightonuk
LEDSRed Philips Sku# 2357RAmber Philips Sku# 1156A Not that expensive I got the form my local Auto Parts Store but failing that Amazon is always a good sourceYou will need a resistor for both indicators but they are cheap just Google led resistor or LED rapid flashing Amazon has them as wellSimple to splice those in, the two wires from the resistor tap into the + an - of the indicator 5 min job
D Jones
Alternatively, go to your nearest Hobby craft store and buy some red paint for glass, £6.99 and paint the bulbs, I've been through 2 mots since doing it and all fine, no decay of the paint or lack of brightness.
