Area Representative peewee7 Posted May 16, 2018 Area Representative Share Posted May 16, 2018 After a fantastic track day at Oulton Park yesterday (15/05/18) it identified a few areas that require attention in relation to my Seven's current set up. First on the list is 4 pot calipers to replace the standard 2 pot's.
SM25T
Consider HiSpec ultralite 4 pot calipers ... with 232 or 260mm solid discs. Very light calipers and cheaper than AP. HiSpec are in Dartford.
7 wonders of the world
What was lacking in the braking department to prompt your post......? AP's wern't introduced to improve the braking performance they were fitted to enable Caterham to compete in endurance racing without the need for mid race pad changesHave you considered different pad material first....?I can also vouch for HiSpec, significant reduction in unsprung weight
micksmetafors
I have a set (front only) of Pagid RS4 brake pads for the Hi spec 4 pots. Done about 1000 road miles so pretty much like new. Best track pads I have ever used. Cost me £150 incl VAT so £75 for the set. This is about the same price as the Ds 2500's I bought with the calipers and there is a huge difference in performance in my experience. Only removed as I am selling the car.
