Dobson_justin
I want to buy a black aeroscreen, and although the CC version looks good, the £600 price tag does not seem great value for money. Can anyone offer advice on a good quality sensibly priced screen? Thanks
simon_h
Meteor Motorsport or Kit Car Direct are worth a look.
Dobson_justin
Thanks. Looked at kitcar but was not sure of the quality as it was hard to tell from the website. Will look again.
simon_h
The pre preg carbon is supposed to be good. Don't know about the grp
Area Representative Richard Price Posted March 27, 2018 Area Representative Share Posted March 27, 2018 Justin,Be careful going for an opaque aeroscreen. I found my vision obscured with one so switched to a single clear screen.
L7 FST
Meteor's clear Perspex double screen is excellent IMHO!

Dobson_justin
I don’t sit too low in the car, so I think it should be ok if I get a black one, but now I am not completely sure!
LesG
I can confirm the clear Perspex version from Meteor is a great bit of kit! The first time you drive your car with one fitted, it is slightly unnerving as you feel very exposed, but you quickly get used to it! You can swap back to your full screen in about 10 minutes if you want, but I can honestly say I've never switched in the 3 (?) years I've been aero. Comp Sec
Justin,When sprinting the problem with the opaque aero's is that you can struggle to see the apex of corners, i've had a race half screen on for sprints for years but have also just swapped to a clear meteor screen. If you fancy sitting in mine and see what i mean give me a shout as we are not too far apart. Tony Smith
My black one from Meteor is great, but then I have no idea what an apex looks like and only the vaguest idea about even the concept of one
nickh7
Apparently it’s what we should all be striving for hitting that apex , I am just grateful if I make it round the corner as you have kids I’d go for the one you can swap quickest back to a screen .
