indicator repeaters

When I changed my wings to carbon I 'forgot' to fit the indicators.  Passed several MOTs without comment.

I have econoseal crimp tool if you wish to borrow for the cost of return postage......BM me if you need

Ta da!  Repeater with moulded silicone back plate, the bit sticking up on the RHS is just a reflection.

That’s interesting.  I was supplied with led indicator units for my build. Looks like CC have gone back to ones with bulbs.

Re: crimping tools, I bought a cheapie Laser one off of Amazon (currently retailing at £9.46) and drilled out a couple of rivets to make the jaw narrower and therefore work with AMP / econoseal connectors without destroying them. Works a dream and cost a fraction of the price of the real deal! I have used it on several little wiring projects on the car over the past few years.

Glad to have it in my toolbox at that price as it gets pulled out once a year for something or other.

Eventually bought one that Grim Reaper recommended, arrived this morning but not tried it yet, looks as though it'll do the job.  If it doesn't work I'm sure my little boy can find a use for it on his Elise (blown, 250+).

One thing to watch out for that I noticed the other day, on the insulated terminals anvils, the yellow and blue dots are in the wrong places, the yellow dot should be on the largest / innermost position to get the most crimping force for the larger yellow terminals.

Got to use it at last and they've spotted the mistake so the dots are correct on mine.  Thanks for the tips, having made up the plugs I'll start a new thread with a few observations.
