Hi there - For sale is my Quaife QBE 60G sequential gearbox – with manual (stick shift) fitted.
It’s a 2008 box (serial number 033). It has had light use in a Caterham:
Has following ratios fitted: 2.400, 1.840, 1.482, 1.260, 1.104 and 1:1
It's priced to sell at £3,900.00

Cheers Steve

And for those of you desperate for more technical info  - here's some that I have taken from the C Bradley Motorsport site (he's brilliant to deal with by the way) Info as follows, hope it's useful: Details:

The Quaife QBE60G 6-speed heavy duty in-line RWD sequential gearbox is a direct replacement upgrade for the Ford Type 9 transmission and since its launch in 2008 it has become the market leader in this sector.

A high strength 80mm shaft centre design with all alloy casings enables the QBE60G to handle up to 375bhp, yet it can be installed into a MK1 / MK2 Escort or Caterham 7 without any transmission tunnel modifications.

The QBE60G features a modular gear cluster, allowing easier interchangeability of gear ratios and fewer moving parts, while a drum type sequential gearchange system is allied to an open face dog design on both gear and drive disc. This produces a positive, ultra-fast gearshift - an optional flatshift or Quaife approved 'intelligent' semi-automatic paddle shift is also available.

Free running gears are supported by needle roller bearings to ensure a robust geartrain, while a choice of ratios and numerous gear lever position options allows customers a wide scope for optimising QBE60G to suit their individual requirements. Weighing just 38kg, the QBE60G is ideal for rally and race use in MK1 and MK2 Ford Escorts, Ford Sierra, Caterham, Westfield and numerous rear wheel drive kit cars..

Hi there, curious ref the 'nothing here' message! *wobble*

you asked me: quote:

Hi Steve is this dog or Helical and do you know if it's long or short input shaft?

what engine was it coupled to? -

To answer:

I think it's dog as per techie bit above- it's rapid change and nicely geared.

It was in the lovely 2.0 Duratec that I bought from Paul Cardy. I sold the engine to Mike Collins who has installed it in his lovely 'new' seven, latterly I've been running it with my 2.4 Duratec. I did 3 hillclimb events in 2014 with it and 6 in 2015, so it's hardly run in!!

I can check the input shaft length if required?

Thanks for your interest

Cheers Steve

How did you dig that out? I deleted those comments early in the evening!

Anyway I was enquiring on behalf of a friend, who later informed me he wasn't interested, so don't worry.

BTW, the techie bit above is generic as they made these in Helical and Dog. Dog engagement is noisier than Helical, both will be quick change though. Also I think you should measure the first motion input shaft length, its quite important to ANY buyer!

FYI, I have a G60, its a superb gearbox. good luck with the sale.

Hi - I had seen it and it was still in the browser view on my phone! Hence I was curious.

I'm fairly sure it's dog gears, typically noisy but very positive. You're right, shaft length useful so I'll measure the shaft length and add.

Thanks again Cheers Steve

Hi - I will ask Quaife based on serial number ref gears, or check when I'm back.

The box is a direct swap for the Caterham 6 speed as I understand it - it's the shaft length that matters.

The measurements are: total length of the input shaft is 175mm the spline starts 33mm back. Total length of spline is 48mm.

Hope this helps?

Cheers Steve
