Guest
I am about to purchase a new momo suede steering wheel. My current momo is leather, 260mm and well worn now. I am looking at a flat bottomed wheel, however the one I like is 270mm. So my questions are, what are peoples thoughts on a flat bottom and 10mm bigger? There is another I like at 250mm too. Cheers. classic1952
I have a Sparco 260 which is great, but I had to make an adaptor. The PCD is smaller, the screws are 5mm rather than 6mm and drilled the other way up! I chose not to move the column so that I can change back at any time. Mavic82
I use a 250mm OMP steering wheel, DT steering wheel I like it a lot. Not to small and gives lots of leg room.
Area Representative Richard Price Posted April 5, 2014 Area Representative Share Posted April 5, 2014 I use a 280mm round wheel. The smaller wheels tend to obscure the instruments more.

Violet Elizabeth
Get one with the cut out top. Then you can see the dials
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted April 7, 2014 Leadership Team Share Posted April 7, 2014 Rob, assuming you can get to the Cheshire meet on Wednesday you could have a look at a few different cars/wheels? I have both 260mm and 280mm wheels, I prefer the 280mm on the road ... and no way would I go smaller than 260mm even for track use. Also .... my personal opinion is stick to a round wheel without any bits missing Stu.
Violet Elizabeth
260mm with the cutout is actually very nice on the roads, as you can get a bit of extra "oomph" if you need it by pushing the ends. With a 22% rack it is quite sensitive, but you learn to be delicate

Drumster
I used to use the 'cut-out' Momo 12c for many years and thought it was a great s/wheel until REIS refused to offer cover with it (after Arnie's accident I understand). Now use the SPA 255mm 'D' .
