MichaelS
I intend using my manifold so would need silencer, collector and cat all to be fitted by them. I have asked for prices twice and got 2 totally different answers from the lady there so I guess I will have to go down to the workshop

Grandmaster Flatcap
New exhaust arrived today. Unpacked it onto the dining room floor. Looks like a work of art Just need to cut a hole in the side of the car now
Stationary M25 Traveller
Good luck. One primary at a time ! Do you have the centre support bracket on the new system ? Do use it .... if the bush in the chassis isn't exposed, the centre of it is normally between 800-805mm from the centre of the rear one. Use a small drill to find it. Grandmaster Flatcap
SM25T ... Centre? Can i just check meaning? I have two mount points, one at either end of the standard silencer box. Or are you counting the primaries as a mount point, so the mount at the front of the silencer becomes "centre"? Also, do I need to use seal/weld on the gasket, or does it fit dry? ta,
gundersen
If we are talking about the exhaust gasket its a dry fit. And I can only guess, but I think that you are understanding SM25T correct in that the "middle" mount point is if you include the primaries as a mount point So that you have the primaries and two rubber "bobbin" mount points. Grandmaster Flatcap
*** Holy thread resurrection ***Here, post #30Anyone who bought a PowerSpeed Exhaust (for a K-Series S3) have the issue that the foremost primary is so close to the alternator that it is melting the wires?
Graham Howard
Yes I had exactly that problem. The solution is to remove the alternator, split apart and reassemble with the connector rotated 180 degrees. This puts the connection further away from the front primary. Grandmaster Flatcap
Is it straight forward to open and reassemble an alt', or is there a gazillion bits that spring out and disappear into corners? Soldering required?
