Storage canisters and fitted bags

Many thanks for Jonathan in making sure I receive the cansters in prombt time before my holiday.

Here is how I fitted the 3 cansters

I used plenty of cable ties to fix the cansters to the chassis tubes via the upper and lower brackets (already come attached to the cansters). I also used a couple of extra cable ties around the whole canster for added security in case the main brackets fail. I also put some rubber pads between the chassis tube and the cansters to reduce the cansters movements.

The photos also shows pocket tags on each canster to write down the content.

The canster above the screen washer bottle is tilted up and i will use it for oil or coolant spare bottle. The position of this canster will also help in fixing the screen washer bottle in place as I previously had on of these bottles flying while driving on motorway.

Did a few miles "harsh driving" and the three cansters are rock steady in place

Thanks again for Jonathan

Ahmed

Further to my post above, I've emailed Jonathan and understand that the current order (Which he has received and is getting organised to send) has already all been taken...and a reserve list on too.

It's a long shot, but as I'm at the bottom of the list, if anyone has changed their mind or is in no panic and it suits them to wait to the next batch (Assuming there will be another batch), could you please let Jonathan or myself know?

I'll stick a post in wanted aswell. I wouldn't have time pre-tour to wait for the next batch, so I could end up having to go for the eBay Tool Tube versions which cost 3 times the price ☹️ That's the penalty for not being organised enough I suppose.

I'm just working through the last few of this batch.

Costs for this batch were:

£174 for 30 = £5.80

No import duty

Envelope £0.24

Postage £5.20 whether it's for one or two

Total £11.24 for one

Total £17.04 for two

There are a few requests on the reserve list. I'm happy to buy another batch of 30 once there are nearly that many needed. So let me know how many you need by posting in this thread.

NB: There wasn't any import duty this time, but there may be next time.

Jonathan

PS: Please put up photos showing where and how you've mounted them.

Hi Jonathan

Likewise my tubes arrived this morning.

Thank you for organising the BB - the efforts you have gone to are much appreciated. *thumbup*

(Cannot fit them at the moment - car now in Vancouver 😬)
