Roger Ford
Somehow I've managed to misplace the front section of my boot floor. I believe it's plywood, with a thin skin of aluminium (or possibly just silver paint). Anyone have one of these surplus to requirements? Thanks. The Pikey
Roger Just in case you don't get one on here, I also needed one recently so I bought the aluminium top part and used it as a template to cut the 1/4 inch ply. Jason
Roger Ford
Thanks for that. Do you reckon that is meant to just sit on top of this wooden section? Don't know how much a sheet of 1/4 inch ply costs, but suspect it's the best part of the £12.60 Caterham want.
The Pikey
Mine cost nothing as I had it at work and it's even faced in my favourite caravan wood grain finish also caravan wood is strong and very light so I reckon I might have saved a whole 2oz . New road cars don't come with the aluminium top BTW, it's just the race cars that have it I think. Jason
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted December 17, 2011 Area Representative Share Posted December 17, 2011 Roger, I'll call in on some set builders and see if they have some ply off-cuts. It would be an FR grade (so much the better) They probably use 4mm whilst the boot floor is likely to be 6mm.
