immobiliser

Does anyone know how to reset it or any other faults to look for its a k series (toad)

type, I had trouble with it yesterday it started playing up i managed to start the car and then it cut out and now i can,t get an ignition light and is completely dead The battery is fine

 

any help is appreciated Thanks

If you're stuck it's probably possible to trace the wires into the loom and bypass it. I did that when my (different) immobiliser played up. You won't want to hear that I never did find what the problem was, I put it all back and it started working and has been working ever since

Thanks for your reply it was,nt the immobiliser after all one of the wires had come off the back of the ignition switch As i was holding the transponder on the induction loop around the switch it was pushing the wire back on as i remove the transponder the wire would come of and the engine cut out .It may have been caused when my 9yr old daughter was playing in the car at legolands amazing machines event

All sorted now and happy again 😬

Superb result. Nightmare that you had to get a tow. I wired my battery wrong ( just one wire that was near negative terminal) & I couldn't start it for nearly 2 weeks ! 😬

Glad you got it sorted Nigel. That was a odd issue and a pain to have had.
