Scoops
Looking to get pair of Racetech Single Seater mirrors and I'm not sure of which glass to get flat or convex? I'm thinking of convex but is their an argument for flat? What do others have?
myothercarsa2cv
Convex. No argument for flat. It's too small. You get used to the fish eye effect very quickly.

andy_h
I have convex SPA type mirror on my drivers side, mounted on the screen stansion so I can take the door off and still have the mirror I don't have a passenger side mirror. I also have convex centre mirror, which gives a better rear view

Myles
My Westie came with Racetech mirrors whereas I have SPA on my Caterham. The Caterham has a flat center and convex wings - and I thought this was pretty good over the years. I've just moved the Westie center mirror from being mounted on the dash to mounted on the cage - and it just so happened that it was easier for me to do this with a spare convex Racetech rather than the flat one I was removing. It's actually pretty good - you don't get the distance-perception of a flat mirror, but you get a really good view with no monster blindspots. I suspect it works better with the high-mount position than if I'd just replaced the existing mirror though. I ought to post some pictures of my cage mount sometime too - a combination of a Longacre cage clamp, a bit of Dremmeling and three zip-ties... 😬
