1995 Caterham Crossflow for sale - Final Reduced Price

Caterham 1995 crossflow Sprint,

 

British Racing Green with yellow nosecone. M registration

 

Purchased in 2006 as a category D vehicle, and completely rebuilt with;

 

NEW BODY AND CHASSIS UNIT.

The chassis was built to accept the post 96 front suspension.

Live axle

New suspension including springs / dampers / Suspension arms and roll bar

New petrol tank and lines

New FIA bar

Momo removable steering wheel

Electric fuel pump with guage (original also in place)

Electronic ignition

New master cylinder and front discs, new pads, and later front calipers

New light units

LSD with rear discs (added later)

Rebuilt engine and 5 - speed gearbox from HWR engineering - Runs perfectly

New propshaft

New clutch

New wheel bearings

New bolts throughout and copasliped.

New wings (but secondhand nosecone)

cloth seats with headrests

FIA roll bar

Quick rack

screen, doors and half-hood

13' anthracite wheels

Smaller black lights

VOSA inspected at the time

Immobiliser with certificate (Works on fobs)

Full MOT

Rear wheel carrier currently removed, but can be replaced.

 

Looks great and runs really well.

 

I realise the Cat D issue will affect the cars value, but in my view the fact that this car has had a new chassis unit 5 years ago counters this to a degree.

 

Priced (I hope) realistically at £7,600 (FINAL REVISED PRICE, otherwise I will be keeping it!)

I think they are based up that way. I picked the engine and box up from a rolling road place in the midlands. They dropped it off there with another engine they had built. The engine has been very reliable (once I had sorted the ignition system out)

 

I agree with the other comments, I would have hoped it would have sold by now, but although I have had a few mails, no-one has even been to see it!
