Shad
I could do with a second pair of hands (well, mostly a foot) to help me bleed the brakes/change the fluid on my car. I've just fitted new lines on the back and it all needs a good flush through and bleed. Is anyone able to help out this Saturday? I'm just East of Newbury in Berkshire. Cheers Simon niknak.org
Andy Whittle
Sorry Simon, but I can't lend a hand/foot as I'm too far away... But you could buy an Gunsons EasiBleed kit they are reasonably cheap, easy to use and make all bleeding a one man job. Probably get one in Halfords I am Leg End... Shad
Hmm are they any good? I tried one years ago but it didn't fit the MC (was a Honda). How does it work, air pressure somehow? Simon niknak.org
Stationary M25 Traveller
They are good. Use air pressure from a tyre or spare wheel - max 20 psi though. Suggest not filling their reservoir with brake fluid (reduce the risk of spillage if cap doesn't seal !), but disconnect the pipe from the tyre valve when you need to top up the master cylinder. Haven't needed an assistant since buying one.
Shad
Excellent, thanks Guess there's zero risk to the seals in the master cylinder with this option too, another bonus. Simon niknak.org
6speedmanual
Easibleed If bought at an independent car accessory/motor factor shop who is up for a bit of a haggle, should be circa £15 instead of the Halfords price. P 6SpeedManual *tongue*There's no such thing as too much BHP per Ton 😬
Z3MCJez
Halfords only charged me £16 when I got one a few months ago I guess that's changed. Useful and easy to use, however. Jez Build Photos
Shad
Yup £16 in Newbury Halfords as well, the fun begins tomorrow 😬 Simon niknak.org
elie boone
All you need is a piece of hose and a plastic container, put the hose to the bleed nipple and down to the bottom of the plastic container, make sure that the tube is under the brake fluid level in the container. Open the nipple and start to pump, job done, the rears can be a bit more tricky.
