Andy Honnor
Thinking of going Aero next year. Any top tips on what to buy, where to get it and how to fit? I would probably like to keep the Aero and Windscreen interchangeable if poss. Many thanks.
CageyH
Lots of people use one from here or here Only dead fish go with the flow....!
Andy Whittle
Has anybody got any experience with these: Fluke Motorsport carbon aeroscreen Seems cheaper, but as always you can't buy solely on price I like the look of the carbon stantion fitting kit. I believe these are manufactured by Mog Racing . I am Leg End...
K200CSR
Just purchased and fitted a Caterham carbon setup for track days, 1st rate didn't need any modifications to the car. Carbon mirrors good, just need to spend time fitting and I would suggest a 3rd whole to allow an allen key to be inserted for adjustment. Only tricky bit was the centre studs but 5 layers of masking tape gave a good impression. The heated screen cable needs to be handled carefully but the connector spade boots and rubber grommets are easy to remove. RiF
Suggest you do a search as there are many threads about this. I reply to every thread
Unfortunately the CC version does allow a degree of personal buffeting that other (less expensive) versions avoid

Neil_K
Well, someone's gotta say it ......... I got a RiF (carbon-bits) aeroscreen and love it 😬 Buy some captive retaining brackets from CC to make it interchangable though. I can single handedly swap full screen to aero in 10 mins. Where am I? I reply to every thread
Buy some captive retaining brackets from CC to make it interchangable though. Unless I am very much mistaken Neil Old Boy, the purveyor of the aeroscreen that you mention is also equally happy to provide said captive nut brackets in a lighter material (CF). RoyH
Ordered a RIF track aero and matching CF mirrors. Must remember to speak to him about captivating my nuts. Now, RIF, where have you gone ?? 😬 😬
Darren Harrold
I fitted the mog screen here Fitting the mog aero does require some careful positioning of the side supports, these are then drilled and rivited to the screen. Very pleased with it, so much so never took it of all season. Also fitted c/f spa mirrors, and RIF C/F captive nuts. Phil
It looks like some of the screens use just the one of the screen mounting holes on the side of the car and some use both, which is wich please? Area Representative Nick Chan Posted November 16, 2008 Area Representative Share Posted November 16, 2008 Phil, RIF and Caterham interchangeable aero's use the front hole only and also clip/screw fix on to the two popper bases centre of the scuttle top. Brooklands band and the MOG c/f interchangeable band use all 4 holes. Caterham JPE and the Mog JPE style use 5 new holes drilled in the top of the scuttle. The Mog JPE screen can be fitted optionally to their interchangeable band which would then fit like a set of Brooklands screens HTH Nick ----- Back in a BEC!
