My understanding is that Nova have acquired the moulds for the Avon ZZS & ZZR, is this actually the case? If so, do we know if Nova have also acquired the receipt for the rubber?

With the temporary / permanent demise of Avon ZZS / ZZR what are people putting on CSRs? Fronts 195/50R15 & Rears 245/40R15 Thoughts and suggestions please. Normal usage, 1-2K road miles and 3-5 track-days per year.

I'm working through an issue on my car and have removed the engine to check the clutch. The friction plate looks fine (the item I thought had failed) but we noticed some cracking on the outer edged of the clutch cover contact surface. I'm going to replace the clutch cover but could this surface failure stop the clutch disengaging intermittently when the clutch pedal is depressed? On a general note: Edit: Apologies you will have to look closely to see the blue lines!! For the eagle eyed amongst you I have the blue marked items on the photo below show the evidence of the previous clutch plate failure. This happened to me in the 1st hour or the 1st track day or three with BaT in eastern Europe a few years ago. With the use of a pantechnicon trailer tail lift and a parts deliver the following day we got on track at lunchtime of the 2nd track day. A good team effort!

Ok to answer my own question: Spigot Bearing portion of the shaft 15mm (cheers to Simon_h) Number of splines = 23 Spline shaft diameter = 25mm so I guess 1"

This might be a route I'm taking! Engine & gearbox out this week and then decide what to do. Cheers for the feedback

If so, can someone let me know the number of splines, the OD of the splines and the OD of the pin that goes into the spigot (??) bearing in the end of the crank? Failing that does anyone have a spare 1st motion shaft laying around that I can purchase? Cheers

Can anyone confirm if the Caterham Parts STARTER MOTOR DURATEC ENGINE will work on a Cosworth 2.3 Duratec in a 2007 CSR200? Does anyone have a suggestion for a replacement as mine has started being intermittent. I think it's the solenoid unit but I'm not 100%? Cheers

What are the base geometry settings for a CSR road car as well as the standard ride height and rake? Are there recommended settings for track use?

Forgot to add, the weep persisted even after the engine was started and run up to temp.

Just over a week ago I refilled my engine after it had been empty of oil for a couple of month and I now have an oil weep on the engine /bell housing joint. When I refilled the engine I put four liters into the top of the engine and two liters into the swirl-pot and then left the car unstated for a week. Does anyone know if filling the engine this way and leaving it could cause a problem and associated leek? Kind regards Charles

While my car is in bits i'm taking the opertunity to replace all the O-Rings on the dry-sump pipe work, what's type of material are they made from? My supplier has a choice of Nitrile (too lower a temp range I think), Vitron or EPDM. Feedback would be most appreciated. Regards Charles

Has anyone successfully lined the inside of their wheel arches to help stop the starring from stone impact? What works without adding huge amounts of weight? I've thought about rubber paint, plastic liners (self-made), wheel arch felt but don't know what will work so comments would be appreciated. Thank you Charles

A pair of front wheel arches for a Caterham painted in Dodge Viper Blue. Removed from a 2007 RHD Caterham CSR. Supplied with Armorfend leading edges. The wings have slight scuffs and some staring but would be suitable for restoration or race use.
