Willie. Posted August 31, 2008 Share Posted August 31, 2008 Don't know about replacement, I seem to remember Angus had trouble and had to buy a new shaft. I've fixed a few damaged threads on stubaxles etc before...using a needle file and thread file (In extreme cases). Most can be recovered. Running the correct sized die up it will be your best bet. If its just the end its not so bad as the nut isn't holding here as much. But if its badly damaged further in, where the nut grabs, unless it cleans up with good meat on the thread...ditch it.
