The Pikey
Anyone got the pin outs for the 992 ECU? Thanks jason Currently, I am qualified to plead ignorance. CA08 TRM Edited by - jason fletcher on 15 Dec 2007 12:58:
Paul Deslandes
If you haven't already try Steve at SBD. 0208 391 0121. He is an MBE main agent. All the earlier ECU data is are listed on his website. The 992 hasn't made it yet.
The Boy
Is the diagrams in the electrical section in the build manual what you require - these appear to have the markings for both engine and chassis loom and the codes for the pins at both ends This is a wild guess and would bet you have already looked at these Its finally finished :-) 3500 miles completed. Back at CC now :-(
The Pikey
The Boy unfortunatly the CC diagram does not give me what I need.. It's the correct position of pins 6-10 in the Can connector I am after. The can connector does not "see" a ECU and I think CC may have swopped things around and linked it back again in their plugs. I will get there in the end! J Currently, I am qualified to plead ignorance. CA08 TRM
The Boy
Jason Are you familiary with the reading of ECU with Easimap? Can you pull history from the ECU and do you know if this is date and time stamped and specific to the ECU serial no? What period does it log over. If this is too complicated for this post BlatMail me 😶🌫️ You will get there - it appear a fairly new ECU so there is no detail on line yet ☹️ Its finally finished :-) 3500 miles completed. The Pikey
Never used Easimap before and can't get mine connected at the moment so I don't know. I can see where you are coming from though... Jason Currently, I am qualified to plead ignorance. CA08 TRM
mic
The can connector only uses 2 pins. Be careful trying to access the data, the 992 uses specific software .
The Pikey
thats intresing, the CC loom is using pins 6 7 8 9 and 10 to the can connector. I really must get to the bottom of this! The Pikey
Mic just to clarify, are you saying the 992 uses different software or do I need something other than easimap to retrieve the info from the ECU? The Boy
CC use Easimap for the 992 😬 Edited by - The Boy on 16 Dec 2007 15:20:
mic
The 992 does not use a pin code to lock the ECU, its uses a different ECU code which is linked to the software. Easimap will work with an ECU which has not been loaded with a bespoke version. It is important not to touch the throttle when starting Sigma cars. The Boy
Mick says "It is important not to touch the throttle when starting Sigma cars." Why is this? and do you refer only when connected to Easimap or general starting? Its finally finished :-) 3500 miles completed. mic
General starting, the throttle pot sets the ECU when switched on. If the pedal is touched the ECU get a wrong setting.
The Boy
This is great info 😬 This may account for some owners of Sigma cars haveing problems starting, and running when cold 😶🌫️ 😶🌫️ Many thanks.
