Airhog
Evening Yes I know I could call caterham 😬 But for my evening pondering, any idea of the cost of a new pair? Mine are pretty tatty and my half assed attempt to repaint them in situ is just as average as I would of expected.  If they are expensive, whats the current thoughts on repowdercoating etc? Cheers
tricky dicky
£90 a pair, Try powder coating! Rich
Airhog
Rich Sorry mate, I think you misunderstood. I only want the normal steel ones, not the pimp my ride gold and diamond ones 😬  Any ideas on the cost of blasting/powdercoating? Before I go and get royally ripped off! If I do replace and not recycle, are the race stays worth going for? Cheers
tricky dicky
Race stays are just shorter so wings sit lower to tyres. POwder coater should be <£40 especially if you take abatch of stuff. Rich

Dickie Normuss
Airhog Take them off, strip them and repaint I did just this with mine a couple of weeks back, also did the A frame, upper&lower wishbones, headlight brackets, tie rods etc and it looks much better. I'm in Abingdon if you needs tools or help  VX HPC - Loud and proud here Watch out, whatever hits the fan will not be distributed evenly
Dickie Normuss
P.s. Cost is peanuts, some black satin Hammerite aerosol, about £6 a can IIRC VX HPC - Loud and proud here Watch out, whatever hits the fan will not be distributed evenly
Frying Pan
That Hammerite satin black looks almost identical to powder coat  Airhog - there's a powdercoater based on the road between Banbury and Gaydon See some pictures of the build here. 11000 miles completed!
