    Air filter

I've got a K&N filter which is no longer required. It only did about 2K miles on my old car. Drop me a BM if your interested
  7. Oh by the way , photos are compulsory
  8. Bet you didn't sleep last night Enjoy your new 7
  9. Mine looks like the R500 one ( standard fare from Caterham I guess ) I used some Neoprene self adhesive foam to form pads for each seat. Found it helps to keep a barrier between you and the cold GRP Cheap to do and turned out not too bad, well passenger side is better than the drivers if I'm honest , but had the hang of how to do it by the second one. I find the tillets very comfortable.
  10. Yes I did an oil change about 250 miles before the track day. Covered about 200 miles on track thereafter.
  11. Just wondering if most people change the oil after a track day ?
  12. I've got a brand new mechanical gauge set up supplied by "THINK", still in the box and complete with a smaller LED warning light I purchased separately ( also have the big red light warning light ) that I will be selling if you are interested ? BM me if you need further details.
  13. Quoting Grubbster: I have the full set of wings, nose and dash from Ulitmate, if you want some photo's bm me an email address and I'll take some. They are nice and light, good value and well made but don't look quite as nice as the latest from CC - moulding not quite perfect but to my eyes certainly good enough. I also have the cheap CC ABS wings on my academy car, nothing wrong with these that I can see - fixed on using bigheads and cable ties. I doubt they'd stand up to much of an impact but they look fine (I wrapped mine). Thanks Grubbster, YHM
  14. Just wondering if anyone has purchased cycle wings from "Ultimate Carbon" , and if so what their thoughts are on the finished product ? I have to change out a damaged wing unfortunately and just looking at all options / suppliers to see what is best value for money product. I'm even considering the ABS plastic ones from CC which come in at about 48 quid each I think. Cheers
  15. BTTT If anyone can assist with confirmation of hose ID in above post, it would be very much appreciated
  16. Sorry to be a pain , but I wonder if someone is able to confirm the ID of the hose that goes to the catch can from the "tower". I believe it is 5/16" ( 8mm ) ? I'm overseas at work and so no access to the car, and just trying to prepare all the bits i need to fit a new can prior to going on the IOM no limits jaunt next month . Many thanks
  17. Dipstick on my DS R400 as well. Also luckily have a drain plug at rear of sump close to where blue plate is. I thought total oil capacity for dry sump was just over 6 ltrs ?
  18. Thanks Mark, yes will make sure about the correct diameter fittings for the hoses.
  19. Quoting Mark W: Quoting willmac: Thanks Mark. Had a quick look on Demon Tweeks. The Mocal can looks very neat. Did you go for the 2 ltr size ? This one Edited to say the link has gone back to the picture of the bigger one but mine is the 1 litre version , plenty big enough . They come with outlets on the left OR right , mine is handed the opposite to this picture which makes the routing of the hoses neater Edited by - Mark W on 16 May 2013 21:35:33 Edited by - Mark W on 16 May 2013 21:36:54 Thanks for the info Mark. After writing my post I kind of thought the 1 Ltr can would be plenty big enough
  20. Quoting RJ: I know a source of exactly the same tank without Mocal decal (there's something stamped underneath) at a much lower price. Blatmail me for details. Thanks RJ, YHM
  21. Thanks Mark. Had a quick look on Demon Tweeks. The Mocal can looks very neat. Did you go for the 2 ltr size ?
  22. Just wondered if anyone can supply me with photo's of mods made to Dry Sump catch can that differ from standard set up on K series with the plastic washer type bottle please. I've read about various replacement tanks , and also routing a vent line towards the rear of the car to do away with breathing in the oil mist fumes etc, which is reason for posing the query. Many thanks

    How loud??

I was recently measured at 101db at Oulton Park , static. Not sure what drive by was though. That is with big Raceco silencer, which could possibly due to be repacked . I am running to max 8250 rpm, and was checked at 5,500 rpm. Also that is on standard air filter ( no air box fitted , although I do carry one just in case ) I used the iphone DB app to pre-check before the track day and it came out at 100db so appears to be a good guide.
