  1. There was a fairly recent Face Book thread about doing precisely what you ask. Result looks very successful - done a couple of years ago from an all red 7. https://www.facebook.com/groups/CaterhamTechTalk/permalink/1713186482246754/ .
  2. 59 KBP Black Series 2 or 3 spotted in Dorchester today at 1100.
  3. Personally - Land Rover Defender LED's .
  4. Well found David! My pair arrived today and the improvement is quite marked. Without this information coming from BC most of us would never be aware of these alternatives etc.
  5. Anything useful here? http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xcaterham+nose+badge&_nkw=caterham+nose+badge&_sacat=0
  6. Very little is new. Wheel hub electric motors came in around 1884 . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheel_hub_motor
  7. Any pics of the storage canister and installation?
  8. Looks like it's been taken down - and rightly so. I believe it was also mentioned here PH KItcar Forum
  9. Can't you just use 4 x bathroom scales?
  10. See here: Recent Wiper Thread
  11. Past experience has proven to me that you really do need the mid stay for the clamshells. The wings are subject to pretty high pressures and vibration with the result that I have seen extremely large holes appearing where the rearmost rivnuts have pulled out. I have also seen cars with wide track and clamshells with the wings spaced out from the main tub. I suppose that, if the spacers are not a continuous wing length unit, it would slightly help relieve the pressure?
  12. Mine arrived today as well. Thought I'd just see how good they were by trying one with a 9v PP9 battery. That was hours ago and my eyes still havn't fully recovered! Very bright 😬

    Wiper Blades

I have seen a few Caterhams fitted with the 8" wiper blades used on Westfields (normal tin top type of wiper) - Not sure if any mods to the wiper arm were made. Also believe that there were instructions on adapting a common or garden wiper blade in the L7C Hints and Tips many years ago.
  14. Always use the Shell Super. Went on the Tafia run and car ran well on the way to Aberdovey, had to fill up with local plonk and car popped and banged all the way home.
  15. To give as much info to this thread as available, this competitor's web site had the following document on the Evans product. Don't shoot the messenger ☹️ No-Rosion Evans Test
  16. ...and all because of an early breakfast meeting in the glorious Lyme Regis sunshine...
  17. Just a thought - do you have a manual override switch for the cooling fan? It's always easier to keep an engine from getting hot rather than try to bring it down from a higher temperature. My 7 doesn't have an otter switch just a manual switch. Whenever I see a queue or am entering somewhere like Milan, I just switch the fan on.
  18. You could always bend the lower mounting tabs up very slightly and have the lower edge of the nosecone fit underneath them.
