Please can anyone help me with personal experience of fitting a Pace dry sump system to a K Series 1.8 VVC engine in a standard S3 chassis.
Does anyone have a used system for sale??
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks. Steve

Cover the little black lug that you see just above the plates when you look into each cell with distilled water. Do not overfill. Needs checking regularly.

Do you mean to the engine bay or the pipework? Mine has an ally triangle at the base with the drain plug accessible and a large jubilee clip near the top which hooks under a tab which is pop riveted to the chassis tube.

Just buy a decent starter motor

Thanks Andrew.
Does this relate to the first generation ECU c.1999. 150bhp?

Hello Jonathan
I would call the Powerlite guys direct - they are very helpful. They manufacture the motors and are very familiar with Caterham installations.

Not sure where you are based Rupert but I had my similar car setup by Rob Morley at Ratrace Motorsport. I use mine for road mostly with occasional trackday. I use standard dampers and a new set of firmer springs as recommended by Rob along with his superb brake pad set. It works brilliantly at all speeds as well as maintaining sensible comfort levels. Email me if you want more details. Steve

If you have a Static Balance the weights are in the middle of the inner rim only

Jon
Just take them off and fill them with grease and refit. Takes a few minutes.
Disconnect one end and tiewrap up and only use for trackdays or similar.
Not part of the MOT.

I am using Goodyear Efficient grip - excellent all round. Ran at Dunsfold in pouring rain. No problem in the dry and runs quieter than other makes due to tread pattern. Just do not expect them to wear out though!

Spoke with Willans at the Autosport show and they will make to your specification if that helps.
Tyre choice for 14 inch rims

I understand the Rain Experts are a hard compound compared to Rainsport (not available in 14").
I have used Goodyear Efficient Grip - a good all round choice for a standardish car with moderate power - 150. Excellent in the wet but still a relatively hard compound.
I am now, after 6 years, changing to Yokohama A08RS, as recommended and supplied by Camskill. Give them a call and chat through the choices.
Happy to chat with you if you send me a message.
