  1. The entry list for Harewood is on the Notice Board. Look on the Events page on the Harewood Site. For the July event the finals were emailed out on the Tuesday before the event and the paddock positions appeared on the Wednesday.

    Hethel Track

If you have been to Hethel before you may find the sprint course has changed. The current layout seems to be the standard one that is currently used. The 'new' layout uses a single lap and dispenses with the mini chicanes formed by cones. The main difference is Windsock Corner where you are directed away from the very fast corner to a very tight section forming a deep chicane. Needless to say it is important to exit this section as fast as possible to get the benefit down the long straight that follows. If you have been here before but haven't done this configuration it is important that you walk this section if nothing else.
  3. To anyone going to the trackday tomorrow don't forget to do the online briefing which is available now.
  4. You should get an email in the next day or two explaining how to get your e-ticket for entry. When I entered in July we were offered up to 3 tickets and so I would expect it to be the same for August.
  5. Thanks for organising this again Justin. Please put me down for a place. Roger Legg
  6. We normally have 3 garages that are allocated on a first come first served basis. Sometimes individuals (like you Justin) manage to get additional garages. From memory it is possible to get 8 Caterhams in a double garage. If you are successful and there is room I would appreciate a space please. Roger
  7. Thank you all. I have the printed version and it says 9.2.6 Deleted. In answer to your question Graham, I haven't sold my trailer but I do use the car occasionally on the road and it would be nice not to have to cover up the numbers. I have never understood the reason for having to do so as the car is covered in stickers that makes it obvious that it is a competition vehicle.
  8. As I understand it 11.4.2 that you refer to is in section Q (Specific Regulations for Circuit Racing). When you look in Section S (Specific Regulations for Sprints, Hill Climbs and Drag Racing) there is a section entitled Competition Numbers where there used to be a similar statement about covering numbers (9.2.6). This section is now deleted.
  9. In the finals for the BMMC Curborough Sprint on 8th May it says "Please remember that numbers MUST be removed or covered before driving on the public highway". I understood that this requirement (section S 9.2.6) had been removed from the Blue Book. Can anyone please clarify?
  10. Well done Graham, Paul and Alan for taking on the job. I have every confidence that you will make a great job of it, but as you say you have a superb act to follow. Thanks to Chris for all the hard work he has put into the job over the last few years. Chris and Matt have been a constant source of help and advice which has always been given in a friendly and helpful manner. The championship is now in a strong position and this is largely due to the excellent work done by Chris, with the support of his family. I only hope that we will see Chris in the paddock enjoying his sprinting without the pressure of being Comp Sec. Thanks again to the outgoing and incoming Comp. Secs.
  11. When we went to Hethel before there was a pub that was happy for competitors to use their car park overnight. I think that it was the "Bird in Hand" which is less than 2 miles from Hethel on the B1113. I am not certain that that was the correct pub but it certainly has a large car park. Of course this may all become academic if we follow Italy and are not allowed to travel!
  12. Congratulations Phil. A brilliant run and a great shame it won't count. Like everyone else I was concerned about the driver who crashed but he put a post on Facebook where he said that he is OK.
  13. BARC have just announced that, due to cancellations, there are limited spaces available for both the Saturday and Sunday at Motofest Coventry Sprint if anyone is interested.
  14. Don't give up. There are usually a number of entrants who drop out for one reason or another so you may still get a place.
  15. Thanks John I hope you managed to get home in a reasonable time through the the jams on the A55. My TomTom sent me round an interesting route that missed them and I did get to Chester in time to play with the Grandkids for an hour or two before they went to bed. I guess that there are many Sigma owners who will be interested in this problem. I use Shell almost exclusively in my 2007 Caterham and I will have to keep my fingers crossed that there are no problems.
  16. If you have heard that this problem is caused by the petrol, does anyone know which fuels are more likely to cause it? If it is not a guarded secret, what fuel have you been using John?
  17. A garage space for me as well please Chris, thanks Roger
  18. If you look in the supplementary regulations you will see that competitors are invited to walk the course before the drivers briefing at 8.30 am. Bear in mind that it is 2.4 miles round it is a long walk but you should have time if you have a bike.
  19. My experience is that it is rarely required. They can ask for the certificate of insurance. It seems unnecessary now that it can be checked online but it is still occasionally requested along with the MOT and evidence that the car is taxed.
  20. The postman has been today and I haven't received any passes. Should they be with me by now?
  21. Just a heads up for anyone who has not been to Rockingham before that you will almost certainly be stopped at the security gate on the way in. It is therefore a good idea to have the admission ticket that is on the back of the Finals available. The security guard will usually be quite helpful and will direct you to the inner paddock. It is a huge site so take note of the instructions (or follow someone who knows the way!).
  22. I'll take it if it's still available please Graham
  23. The real question is who is it to be set up for or are you both the same weight with similar driving styles?
