    Tyres?

    Tony, I believe for 2015 you would be in class 3 as the CR500 are list 1b tyres, yours is the same set up i ran last season , not the stickyest tyres but absolutly fine for first season of learning and having fun with out the expense of changing tyres. Philip

    ROLL CAGE

    Roll cage of my 2003 S3 chassis , immaculate caterham red ,powder coating, 2013, new headrest assy+ padding,,2013 wanted £225 but for L7 sprint competitor will discount and do a deal.Cannot find how to attach photos, so if interested i can e mail images. Philip

As a novice this last season ,who did every round , i think a balanced number between spints and hills makes a great championship, and i found i favored the sprints to start with and then to the end of the season hills became my favourite, then Anglesay !! and as with a kid with the sweeties i now can,t make up my mind but i had the best years fun in decades, and am itching for the start of the new season already, so thanks to hard working comp sec`s old and new and i will go with their decisions and have a chat at the end of the season to give my views , perhaps we should have an online end of season form to fill out giving views on the seasons venues ? But roll on the new season And wish i could make smilies work! Philip

    1800 140 K series. Have sump off, disposing of foam, want to do Oilyhands gasket mod but no links seem to work in tech search articles on subject , would it be possible for someone to post picture or template please or link that works ?? Also I presume the ally plate that holds the foam is refitted in position? thanks in advance, Philip.

I wholeheartedly agree that the fun of competing with similar skilled competitors drives us to progress in our times up hills or round circuits and weather Cookie Monster has TBs/emerald has no bearing on the fun, but later next season when I am struggling to keep him in sight might be slightly peeving and end up with expenditure I was hoping to not expend!!! So my vote would be keep 150/155 next year and consider splitting power from class 2 /3 by 150 and 160 and allowing K throttle bodies/ermeralds in. BUT can I ask clarification on hp measurement as manufacturers quote flywheel horse power but rolling roads are rear wheel hp and 10/20/30% difference between so 160 hp on rolling could be 190 flywheel against 140 flywheel which could be 120 at wheels or am I wrong??? I also wish I could select and put smiley in my text!! Philip
  15. D'ont worry SImon, I can keep excessive expenditure secret but as a 140 " no power " I will be lobbying for restrictions of horsepower not for TB'S and Emeralds as my budgets are already blown on wheels/tyres/gearbox upgrades for this season!!

  20. Phil, I presumed you did not want the ultra light cxrs, so i grabbed them, i now have to make the dreaded tyre decision 😳 Kumho or Avon ZZR for my Christmas present, as for excuses i will be working flat out through the winter on a complete new list to bring out for the new season 😬

  22. rs2000, good photos i hope my oil smoke was not as bad as Jame's , looks like WW1 destroyer making smoke!! i presume it is battleship grey James 😬but on a serious note i think i will try catch tank for cam cover breather as oil level was spot on ( thanks for input Alan) and it hurts my pride to think my car could smoke like that 😳

Olly, I would like say this is why my times were slower as the day progressed, but I have to put it down to to rubbish driving and trying to hard to at least break into 65's to feel you will eventually be catchable[:E In regard to the oil smoke I presume it is oil in cam cover reaching breather pipe to inlet plenum rather than oil coming up past piston rings? as I'm fairly busy at this corner I have no idea if oil pressure is dropping, maybe Andy or James has better pheriperal vision or is less busy trying to get round the corner than me to answer this ? Hopefully Loton does not have any similar corners to reverse Flagpole. Philip.
