Lots of oil smoke from exhaust at flagpole corner on reverse run, presume oil surge but did not happen every lap,only last one or two. Only saw one other car suffering same, mine has Apollo fitted , other car not. Any explanation why only ours..? Oil level on mine checked on max line before runs, presume no long term damage, engine running fine,will take car on long run to burn out oil from exhaust, any ideas how to prevent in future, has not happened on previous sprints this year, sump still with original foam and gasket,does Dave Andrews gasket mod stop this? Any comments appreciated. Philip MAtchwick.

To suit S3 2003 imperial chassis,full width using existing screen mounts,composite as can not afford carbon ☹️ unless your a benefactor to the sprint championship 😬 Philip.

As a novice i would just like to say Sunday was an excellent day, impressive organisation,and to be able to sort the sunshine + the ice cream at the same time,truly impressive, pity i could not say the same of my driving !! Competition number on car during sprints,is it one number through out the series or new number for each event ?and i presume its not the competitor no /club no as mine is 4 digits? just trying to work out what i will need.

I AN CONSIDERING ENTRING FOR SPRINTS THIS YEAR ,I HAVE A 2003 ROADSPORT 140 ON 15"CR500, CAN SOME ONE CLARIFY THE FOLLOWING? CLASS 2/3 ARE LSD ALLOWED? MY 4 POINT HARNESS SAYS EXPIRED 2012, WILL I HAVE TO REPLACE? EXTINGUISHER REQUIRED? CAN I RELY ON STD IGNITION SWITCH WITH STICKER OR DO I REQUIRE BATTERY ISOLATOR? OBVIOUSLY COMING TO INTRODUCTION TO SPRINTING DAY BUT NEED THESE ANSWERS NOW.ANY LOCAL SPRINTERS TO COMPTON, NEWBURY? MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Thanks for replies, had not found search button, now nearly to much information, i shall do the std checks on oils and grease, get some ear plugs and enjoy. Have had the seven for 5 weeks and can still think of nothing else,and cant stop smiling,Sevens should be given on the National Health.

Hi new member,after 4th trip out in 03 1.8 140 hp 9000 miles jacked up to have a general look round, in turning o/s rearwheel slight knock in diff approx evey 3rd of wheel turn, n/s no noise at all, diff does not seem too noisy when driving,drive shafts seen to have no slack and diff input back lash seems ok,am i being too sensitive and have found std noise or should i be worried?

Yep that was me ,140 roadsport ,2nd drive after collecting the previous sunday ,can`t stop smiling,apart from trying to put top up for first time in the rain!!
