  5. When running an interchangable screen and aero and you have the wipers removed where do you source the black plastic/rubber covers for the wiper nuts? Thanks
  6. Grubster - I was considering the Academy package - but the schedule is just to southern focussed and time just getting to circuits and events would be unrealistic. So looking at other options - but a horse box will not be amongst them!
  7. He came, he saw, he drove, he bought followed by for having an empty garage. So what next 🤔 Hope you enjoy the car Paul.
  8. Now look for those of you who think that Scotland is already split from the UK and that strip searching is undertaken at the Gretna Border Control buy Sue Bo's sister - these rumours are not true! You don't have to use a ferry to have a look at the car, Braveheart will not ravage your missus and Gordon Brown FM is not a mandatory radio channel. You'll discover stunning traffic free roads, no mention of the Olympics and at the end of your journey, at the end of the rainbow a lovely seven - who I promise the first to see and drive will want to buy. So those who think that tarmac stops at Cannock and that Wigan is a wash with pie eating cowboys please stop this north south stereotyping! Thank you
  9. Thanks all provisionally sold to chambomg
  10. Hi will get some pics taken. Hi Chambomg pls could you BM me so I can email them to you. Thanks

  14. The lure of racing is just too much...so an Academy car beckons. Hence current 7 has to go so and is therefore up for sale. The car is in good condition, not perfect, odd stone chips and blemishes here and there but it is an extremely well spec'd and fast k series car. More suited to people wanting to enjoy brisk blatting, sprinting or track days....this is not a car for the tourers or people with SBFS fetish. Afraid the car is located way up country in SW Scotland - we are just over 2 hours from Preston, 50 mins from Carlisle. I've used it for the past few years for short road blats, but it is a sweetly set up car that really looks the part. Price £15,250 - Please BM me for more info or to discuss Spec & Photos below http://www.gorsebank.com/gorsebank_equestrian/Cat7/imag010.jpg http://www.gorsebank.com/gorsebank_equestrian/Cat7/imag012.jpg http://www.gorsebank.com/gorsebank_equestrian/Cat7/imag013.jpg http://www.gorsebank.com/gorsebank_equestrian/Cat7/imag011.jpg The basic car is a 1998 Roadsports A car which has had a long list of parts added to it, one key benefit due to its age is that it does not require a cat. 1998 Caterham 7 Roadsport 13800 miles show on taco Taxed til July 2012 MOT'd til July 2012 Engine 1800cc Rover K series Caterham Dry Sump system Gold Dry sump pump 208bhp@7220rpm (setup by DVA Power) Full rebuild by DVA Power around 3000 miles ago (have bills totalling over £3k) Forged Pistons Modified Oil pump Latest spec main & big-end bearings Crank, front pulley, flywheel & Clutch dynamically balanced Oil pickup pipe and sump gasket modified for improved flow Latest spec Landrover 5 layer & shim head gasket Genuine VVC big valve head - ported & polished Lightweight VVC tappets Piper 285H cams Piper heavy duty valve springs & caps Piper adjustable vernier pulleys Jenvey DTH throttle bodies Bernard Scouse airbox, filter & ducting Emerald 32bit programmable ECU (with leads) Caterham R3/4/500 larger bore primaries Rare Caterham R3/4/500 extended re packable silencer Samco coolant hoses Lightweight flywheel AP racing clutch plate and cover Recent starter motor Transmission Caterham 6 Speed box - refreshed 2500 miles ago by Road and race transmissions uprated with a later 4th gear and for better oil flow 3.92 AP Suretrac LSD also refreshed by road and race transmissions at the same time. 15. I've had my current 7 for about a year and a half and due to illness and work only had chance for the odd short road blat. I've noticed that it both drinks fuel, pops, bangs and splits flames when you come off the gas. I've no experience with the settings on the Emerald, but am now thinking that it has the fuel overrun switched on. Can this simply be switched off without upsetting the map or is it a lot more complicated than that? Thanks,
  16. Thanks Tim - Spot on. Does anyone have a part number/supplier for a suitable alternator replacement for a k series. Thanks
  17. Just had a lovely run out and come to park up the car in the garage and the red light on the dash comes on when I switch off the ignition (even stays on when I remove the battery isolator key ) When I turn the ignition back on the light goes out and stays out when the engine is running. Only 2 things different about todays run 1. it was rather wet 2. I had the lights on Any ideas?
  18. Thanks everyone for all the pointers will revisit it and double check everything again. Cheers
  19. Confused.... Which isn't too difficult. My exhaust primaries have started rubbing against the side skin where they pass through. I've checked all the engine mounts they seem ok, but it is as if the exhaust has shifted forward about 4mm. Either that or the side skin has grown. Any ideas?
  20. Thanks for that...bit more complicated than my bike discs!!! Maybe I should hunt down some local volunteers
  21. Hello - To assist me as I've never changed them before does anyone have a guide they could post or BM me, or does anyone know of a posting along the same lines (I've done a search but nothing has come up). In case it matters it a k series with big brakes (4 pot). Thanks
