  1. Minno or similar trailer wanted ASAP. Email back or post a contact number and I'll be in touch. Thanks
  2. Mark, Can you let me know if you are interested 07949 033252, as I need to arrange something weekend. Cheers.
  3. Mark, I have sent you an email, with an offer. Regards, Paul.
  4. Thanks Mike, I'm using Mobil 1, and as you can probably let I'm not that technically minded but eager to learn. Are you serious about checking the oil with the engine running? Isn't it likely to get rather messy? Regards, Paul.
  5. Whilst on the subject of 1.6k supersport, can anybody recommend further engine up-grades. I'd be interested to know what is achievable for a limited budget (say £1500) and the desire to keep reliability high, plus on-road flexibility. Thanks.
  6. I run a 1.6k Superlight which has a anti-cavitation tank fitted as standard. My concern is that at a hot idle it is reading less than 2 bar of oil pressure. When revved this rises to just under 4 bar. Is this normal or does it need some attention? I was wondering if because of the anti-cav tank whether you need to over fill the engine with oil, above the normal dipstick mark. I have just changed the oil and it took approx. 5 litres to the dipstick level. Any pointers much appreciated. Thanks. Paul.
  7. The day of reckoning beckons, after a year of taunting South Bucks motorists - I have taken the plunge and arranged my first track day at Brands 17th August. Can anyone help with a couple of queries. Do you know if a 1.6k Superlight, with a non-cat 4into1 competition exhaust, will pass the required noise tests at Brands. If not is there any alternative than fitting a bigger diameter silencer box? I currently have a 5inch diameter box. Also, are most motorbike helmets valid for trackday and sprint use? Any help would be appreciated to avoid a wasted trip. Thanks.
  8. Thanks chaps for the help. Garage tip sounds good, I thought the adjustment of the whole arm was a little crude, so will try your suggestions. I need help with preparation for my first track day, so if you have the time maybe you can reply to the new message. Cheers, Paul.
  9. Thanks Mike, The friendly ones are OK, and are probably more concerned about the what the hell has just rocketed up behind them, it’s the roadrage-prone types that are the problem. Once you pass them they decide to illuminate the back of my head for the 5 secs that I'm still in view. Are they not adjustable, and part of my little car's charming character?
  10. Pottering along the country roads at night, I notice that drivers in front are always dipping their rear view mirrors, suggesting I am blinding them. I must admit that when using full beam I don't seem to get must additional benefit as if the alignment is too high, and on normal headlight setting the beam looks to be quite high up on roadside objects such as road signs. What is correct way of adjusting this, I have tried re-positioning the whole of the headlight and indicator arm, positioned under the nose cone, but this results in the indicator pointing at a downwards angle a little too much. As a non-techie, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  11. Can anyone help. I am looking for any details/specification for some black Speedline Magnesium 13" wheels. They were fitted to early/first Superlights. If anyone knows of any for sale or where they can be obtained, plus tyre sizes I'd be grateful. Thanks. Contact 0961 159142 Email: pj_kn@msn.com
