  1. Of course Jonathan, I have DB meter pro app and this sound meter too!
  2. Naturally my new 620R has the rear exit exhaust fitted as standard, it's not the best looking solution, but it is needed for track days, so I forced to live with it. However as we do lots of days at Curborough, and I plan to go to Santa Pod for the PH SS, I think i might swap over to my side exit Raceco silencer just for the fun of the pops and bangs. Will make sure I post a decent video of the noise , before and after style!
  3. I did have them turned on, but forgot to tenable them again on this new car and battery. Also needed to check what the AH was of the Odesssey, as there are different types of the same battery. All sorted now!
  4. I've had one on my previous Caterham's and I have now transferred it onto my new 620R. I do also use a Ctek battery conditioner too. It was interesting to see that when my 620R was delivered the Odyssey PC680 battery had only 70% charge in it.
  5. I thought I would try to share some of the pictures of my new 620R. It seems this is the place for posting pictures, but we need to create a blog first? Still can't work out why there is no image gallery for all members to see on the home page?
  6. As Jim mentioned regarding his 620R, they are indeed in the boot space now, my new 620R has it fitted in. The same place too. Its a smaller bottle than the usual, one I think, perhaps to keep it out of the way. On my car it appears to be fitted using one of the existing wheel arch bolts, and another one drilled trough close to the other bolt, again coming from the inside of the rear arch. Heres some pictures of mine in situ.
  7. Yes that is for our Sigma engined Superlight Twenty Models Alan? I thought it was a Sigma he was building not a 360?
  8. Craig, if you look at the caterham parts store section relating to the 620R nosecone, it also lists related parts and the grill looks the same as all the other version of grills. https://caterhamparts.co.uk/nose-cones/6132-nosecone-black.html And as John says it should just attach by the two long pins going into two holes, then the other two pins in the slots retained by metal spring clips. I know the 620R nose cone is a differnt shape, but I can't see why it would be any different from the others for mounting the grill? Out of interest why are you changing yours?
  9. Hi Ross, as I mentioned above my Son Tom was 10 for her build of my Superlight Twenty back in March of 2016. He did get quite involved with build, with some small supervision he fitted the radiator and steering rack on his own, he is capable now of left and right hand threads, and with some guidance used the torque wrench too. However like most 10 year olds his attention span is limited, so he often got bored, and was more interested in going online on the Xbox to play with his mates. This time surprisingly my daughter, who was 6 at the time, seemed to get more involved and got hands on to the build, she helped assemble the roll bar, the seats and the steering column too, if fact she got more enjoyment out of it than Tom did. Whatever it is a great experience for them, and I was asked by my children's teacher if I would do a talk and overview of why and how we built it to the rest of the class, which I really enjoyed. I still think most of Toms class buddies did not really believe we built a car, and even less that Tom and Lucy bolted a lot of it together themselves! Have fun with it!
  10. Fantastic news, new kit arrival day is always a great day! We all expect to see lots of pictures of the build and a build blog too of course! Let me know if there is any part of the build that you need any help with, and if I can give you some pointers and pictures to help too. Enjoy!
  11. Hi Everyone, i have just updated the Pistonheads advert, as the question most people have asked re the details seems to be something I forgot to mention. So the advert now includes the detail of premier paint guard protection film as fitted to the arches, nosecone and bonnet. I have also lowered the price to £29995.
  12. Hi John, Thanks for the message, not decided yet actually, got a few things I might like to consider, perhaps something a bit different next time! Perhaps I might return to Caterham ownership again some time in the future.
  13. I actually forgot to add this to the sale, but if a club member wants to buy my car, I am happy to include the limited edition Christopher Ward Lotus Seven club watch too. i had this engraved as part of the club offer, so it has the 7 of 20 engraving on the back of the case too. I have actually been surprised at the amount of interest in my car, and have three offers already via the pistonheads advert today, so just wanted to add this as an exclusive for the Lotus Seven club members who may be interested.
  14. Hi Mike, Yes I do still love it, but need the funds for my next project. As with all of my Caterham's I am sure I will miss it when it has gone!
  15. Hello Everyone, I have decided to sell my Superlight Twenty, the advert is now here on pistonheads. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/caterham/all-models/2016/6634340 If you are interested, or know anyone who may be interested please feel free to ping me directly via Blatmail.
  16. I reckon that's a good new version of a spotted too! Funnily enough I also found it when looking for the Local series Land Rover independent, I wonder if he is like many of us who owns a Land Rover and a Seven too!
  17. No 13 of 20 would be james Mortimer in his blue superlight twenty. I. Will let him know you spotted him out and about !
  18. Great stuff! i hope you get it sorted. nothing more annoying than something you can't put your finger on!
  19. Here's the link to that video. You can hear the dash vibration at the start and end of the video.
  20. No problem, hope you get it sorted. If its a new car still under warranty cant you just get caterham to sort it out for you? There is quite a lot of items under the whole dash area which vibrate , so it worth letting the engine tick over and running your hands under to see what is potentially causing it. On my car, when i posted the video of the first start up, someone commented on the noise on the video. Thats how i found the noise, someone else pointing it out. Let me see if i can find that video for you.
  21. My 2016 superlight twenty did exactly the same. i found that there was a foam pad Velcroed to the wiper tube, but it was not helping and the whole assembly was vibrating. i move them pad and re velcroed it again and added some more padding on other parts of the tube. it cured my resonating and rattling, of course it's worse with a bare alloy bodied car like mine.
  22. I know that feeling only too well, half term is in a couple of weeks here too, so dont suppose i will be out in my Twenty very much that week either! Good luck with the rest of the build as you get time to fit it in!!
  23. Its quiet on this post and your blog for a while Rob? How are you coming along with the build?
  24. I think mine was the same as yours James, but the switch did not change colour from high to low. the high beam on indicator was the second tell tale in the stack dash, I think it illuminated blue, but I could be wrong! but I am very sure my high/low momentary switch did not change when flip flop from high to low.
