  1. Nigel Interested in Hood, YHM. WW
  2. Thanks everyone, I don't think it's necessary to go to further trouble as the consensus in strongly towards pre-caged era roll bar/strut vintage ie: single diagonal bar/strut. The tonneau is actually being offered for sale by Roger in the ForSale forum if anyone is interested. Thanks again WW
  3. Roger Thanks for the pics, I've set up a topic thread in Techtalk to ask if anyone can identify which era of petty strut your tonneau is tailored to accomodate. WW
  4. Hi Can someone more learned confirm whether the tonneau in the linked pics below Tonneau linky features a petty strut flap position for: a) Safety Devices/Arch (single diagonal roll bar) petty strut position or b) Caged (double diagonal roll bar) petty strut position I believe/fear it is the former as it apparently dates from 2000 era, and understand there is a difference?? WW
  5. Jerry YHM re: Apollo - I'll take it!
  6. No Limits, thanks for clearing that up. 1A it is then 😔 Partially committed then already re: choice of List 1A, to nearly new 205 Falken ZE912 already on current 8x13" rear wheels. Need to replace the A021s on the front soon. Luddite, great website! I'm in Canterbury. Would certainly value a chat. Don't really get to local area meets, but should try harder 😳 . If you do, give me a shout as that will surely split the distance!? Otherwise could get to Orpington too. WW
  7. Hi Once more flirting with the idea of becoming a novice sprinter this year and I note the 2013 Lotus 7 Club Speed Championship Regulations indicate that List 1B tyres are permitted in Class 1 (one). Maximum tyre width 205mm. Maximum Wheel diameter of 14". Is this a change for 2013 or a typo? I believe it was only List 1A previously ? If List 1B are indeed permitted, is there a preferred brand/model of List 1B tyre for a) 6x13" front & back b) 6x13 front, 8x13 back shod car? Oh, and best place to try to buy a car set? Many thanks.
  8. 1) Saturday 11 August, A28 Sturry level-crossing towards Canterbury, you saluted, I waved! Green and yellow - discerning colour combo 2) Sunday 12 August, A252 Charing Hill, Canterbury towards Maidstone road. You blue, me green and yellow 😬, mutual
  9. I think these EU2 covers might be different/not interchangable for early k 1400cc low-port and later high-port heads, so if it's for or from an early 1400 best check...
  10. Paul..........post 1996(.5) means they're not for me I'm afraid, but thanks. Mike
  11. I'd be very interested if Ed didn't want them or found they were not for his era of seven. Not all sevens have the same dampers front or back. What year/axle-type seven are they off? Mike
  12. CSR, metallic silver/grey, flat dash, with white comp number background on side skins, leaving base of Lauderdale Tower, Barbican Estate, London, 7.00pm Sunday 29 August. Reg: C7 VM? Don't Sevens look iconic in plan view from above? it was that ad in MotorSport in the 70s
  13. Metallic burnt-orange 7 climbing twisty hill on Stone Street about a mile and a half north of junction with M20. I was decending in prisoner colour 1.4 SS, waved but we flashed past each other on a dark, wooded bend in traffic. Fantastic road and day for a blat. it was that ad in MotorSport in the 70s
  14. BB How's the mighty Saab sofa? Drove through Caterham (on-the-Hill) yesterday on a long-way-round return to Canterbury from Sevenoaks. Looked for the original pre-1897 location of 'Caterham Car Sales and Coachworks', apparently behind the petrol station on the High Street, now perhaps 'Elite Motors'? Not sure. javascript:insertAtCursor(document.postpage.message,%20' *confused*')Visited in the early '80s as a student. Didn't fit my recollection too well! WW it was that ad in MotorSport in the 70s
  15. Not me (new owner of the ex-Badger Bill 1.4 K ss)..........Hello B Bill! It's a great car!
