  1. Stick with the Shogun and the BJ clubman If you have a half decent car a good trailer will be less and not give you half the issues. K7 PKT Objects in the rear view mirror...... should just drive faster

    Saw Bench

It has its own bench, I guess the blades are about 12" My father in law used to own the Holbrook machine tool Co so although its not industrial grade I guess its not rubbish either. Unfortunately he's in his 90's and very ill, he gave this to me and I have no real need. I could sell it on ebay but it doesn't seem right, therefore if someone wants it to put to good use its there's, as long as they don't put it on ebay. I will take some pictures tomorrow and measure the blades. There will also be a lathe, pillar drill and mill soon as he is too old and ill to stay in the house, but we really want them to go to people who will use and enjoy them. If either of you want a picture blat mail me and I will send tomorrow. K7 PKT Objects in the rear view mirror...... should just drive faster

  4. Answer for removing Sikaflex is a printers cleaner known as IPA (not the beer) its expensive and hard to get in small quantities but if you bm me with an address I can send so along with double sided silica tape which will stick the plate on in seconds. You will not need IPA to remove it, just some patients, get it warm (sunshine or hairdryer) and roll it off. IPA will also remove anything from paint work or glass or tyres, use only in a well ventilated area. K7 PKT Objects in the rear view mirror...... should just drive faster
  5. Hi Rockape, This is all good advise, just one think I'd add (sorry if someone else has said this and I missed it) had my first track day in July. had two instructor sessions (great) then a moment of panic, rounding the hammer head at bedford water ran across the screen, thought it must be rain, checked the sky clear blue, realised there must be an issue elsewhere, checked the gauges all ok. wipers on, screen clear by end of the straight. couple of turns more water on the screen, obviously a leak somewhere so off power slowly back to the pits. Entered the pits thinking s**t 2 months old and I've broke it. Instructor looked at me and asked what's wrong? Said I was worried about the water, he said 7's always push water up the washer jets when you corner so hard, did no one tell you? keep water bottle fluid low, not empty just low. Would buy a carcoon at the drop of a hat if only the garage either had power or I could get power to it. But its not practicable. K7 PKT Objects in the rear view mirror...... should just drive faster
  9. On a 10 plate, looking a little lost (like us) We were in the Black and silver and not their for the Caterham experience which was a bonus. Hope you had a good day K7 PKT Objects in the rear view mirror...... should just drive faster
  10. Hi Alaskossie, Would love to buy your mirror mounts but have told Nifty to put me down for a set if he does another run in the coming months. Since I'm a man who stands by his word and has only one seven maybe I could come back to you if he doesn't do another production run soon. RJ. Sorry I'm new to Sevens and not very mechanically minded, are you talking about the bolt holes just outside the upper 4 point harness outer mount points? Surely it would be dangerous to use these to lift the car as I would need to remove the ejector seat brace brackets......... or have you got o a very old under powered model at a point where the finer options were still being planned Mad Hatter. Wise words indeed.... 20th March next year the calendar next year shows me with 3 days off, in Bahrain before I fly to Jeddah for a week. If your in llandow again I will be very jealous but a mortgage is a mortgage. K7 PKT Objects in the rear view mirror...... should just drive faster
  12. Hi CageyH, Your fine I've got it now. (bit of a blonde moment there) If Nifty isn't getting any stock made before the spring I'll get some of the SVA mounts.
  13. Just looked at the SVA mount on Caterhams web site, guess the con caved end takes a mirror but where does the other end mount on the car. (a picture would help)

Its now coming to the end of my first summer as a Caterham owner ☹️ and I'm thinking of the time when I have to park it up for the winter ☹️ ready to bring it out again around April/May time Its extremely unlikely that I will drive it during the period of October to April as not only will good days be few but my job keeps me out of the country 90% of that time except christmas when I go to Scotland for 3 weeks. I have a well ventilated but dry garage and a car cover. My plan was to clean the car, make sure its dry, disconnect the battery, make sure the hand brake is off, cover the car and dream of spring. Is there anything else I should be considering? Other than chucking the job in and moving to the Mediterranean! K7 PKT Objects in the rear view mirror...... should just drive faster
  16. I've asked Nifty if he will be getting any made up. If not maybe he will let me have the design and I will make some myself K7 PKT Objects in the rear view mirror...... should just drive faster
  17. I'm looking for a temp fix for side mirrors to use on my Road Sport with the doors off. Since the side mirrors come off with the doors I need to be able to put mirrors on and then remove them when the doors go back on. Carbon bits do mirrors that go onto the windscreen side supports but they would be in the way when opening the doors once they are back on. I'm thinking a simple bracket that slides over the door hinge pin (exposed with doors off) and locks around the wide lower section of the screen surround would be a good answer but before I go to the trouble of designing and making such brackets wondered if someone knows of another solution.
